  1. I love this ship!  Cruised on her 3 times before the pandemic, and we’re booked for March to the eastern Caribbean in my first non-suite accessible ocean view cabin, only accessible cabin left on the ship. Looking forward to a great cruise on a great ship! Will post back on her condition after the cruise.

  2. I’m having a very hard time finding accessible excursions in St. Maarten/St. Martin. Celebrity’s tour is sold out and the tour companies I’ve found are not serving the island.  Are there accessible taxis we can rent to show us around? I would like to use my power wheelchair but will go with a transfer wheelchair instead if standard taxis is all they have.

  3. I tried the Pure Wick in the hospital and found it of no use if you are an active sleeper, the catheter slips out of place, even with wearing an adult diaper. Glad it works for you! Wish it worked for me. I use the Gorilla pads that stay put on the bed when you toss and turn, and hold lots with an adult diaper. Never failed me.
    Happy Cruising

I am in a rigid frame, manual wheelchair. We typically cuise out of Ft Lauderdale where I am accustomed to accessible taxis that I simply roll up into the back of. Unfortunately there are no cruises out of Ft Lauderdale when we want to go, so I am looking at other options.

Do you have the contact info for accessible taxis in Ft. Lauderdale?  I fly with a transfer wheelchair, but have reserved an electric wheelchair for the cruise.

  5. I will be cruising on the Celebrity Reflection this March for the first time since having my leg amputated above the knee.  I’ve reserved an electric wheelchair from scootaround.com as seems easier than a scooter to manage, easier to use in restaurants, bars, etc. I’m treating my able-bodied neighbor to her first cruise so I’ll have someone with me if I need help, and I booked an accessible ocean-view cabin. How else should I prepare for the cruise?

  6. I was on the Reflection last year and used the acupuncturist on board.  I had received a shot in my back a few days before the cruise and had terrible pain in my left leg.  The Doctor on board said the pain was coming out of my back so he gave me ibuprofen and suggested acupuncture.  The pain got worse overnight so I made an appointment and kinda checked her out.  Turns out the acupuncturist had gone to a med school for three years to learn acupuncture so I was hopeful she could help me.  She took the pain out completely so I could enjoy the rest of the cruise.  Expensive, yes, but in a pinch it’s priceless.

  7. Well, I know where we were supposed to be, at sea after crossing the International Dateline on our way to French Polynesia.

Where we will be tonight is on our back deck in the sun BBQing a nice rack of ribs.  Beautiful warm day here in the midwest.

  8. We are going!  Apr14 Auckland-Sydney and Apr 25 Sydney-Honolulu.  If the ports are open, we’ll be there.  I am super excited about seeing New Zealand and hubby is stoked about French Polynesia .  I’m optimistic the cruise will happen.
