  1. We tried to book Quinton again for an October trip and he was booked.  However he assisted us with booking a guide named "Ms. Grace".  I am wondering if anyone has ever been referred to her via Quinton and if so how was she as a guide?

    Thank you in advance!!!

    You’re welcome; I’m sure you’ll have a great time.

One word to the wise: everything in Bermuda is expensive including local fish joints. Budget more for lunch than you might for a similar meal in the states. The view is worth it:D

I never reported back!!!!  We had a great tour with Quinton! You are correct lunch we a bit expensive...he took us to a bed and breakfast...BUT the view was totally worth the price!!! The lunch was actually very good!! Thank you for your suggestion!

We are confirmed with 2 of Quintons friends for this coming Saturday!  Since he was already taken he recommended 2 other drivers and we are super excited!!   As a result of many of your suggestions, along with a few of his, I believe that we have a wonderful itinerary planned for the day!  Thank you all!

I have emailed Quinton to book with him, we had him as a guide last time we were in Bermuda.  He is booked this trip.  Would you share the names/contact info he recommended?

I have been on both and prefer the Dream class ships with the Carnival Breeze being my favorite, going for third time in March .

For me I did not like the ship layout and prefer the piano bar, comedy club, Main lounge, and night club layouts more on the Dream class.

If your a spa person, I get the spa rooms and the thermal spa was lacking on the Vista as well and the speciality restaurants seemed so compact.

On positive for Vista I did like the sky bike, my youngest still talks about beating me on it. The new Havana and Family rooms with their areas were nice, we had rooms in both spots and the family lounge was a great hit.  I just was not a fan of the atrium and the shows were hard to watch with the seating layout.

I have thought about trying the Panorama or Horizon but tend to go back to other ships each time.

Oh man...we love the Dream spa...about to go on the Vista a spa room...hope we like it....

  5. Sorry, My Bad. I'm sailing on The Equinox, Edge and Reflection and did not think about the others.

However, with that being said, the In Room Dining menu is exactly the same on all three.

I was hoping it would make it to the Silhouette before our next one in November... but no luck

  6. Ship - Dream

    Deck - Lido 10

    Stateroom # - 10205

    Stateroom Category – 4J

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes it is a quiet room. You do get a bit of noise from the cabin steward supply closet next door...but not enough to matter.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – No balcony, but the outside deck on the front of the ship is right outside the door next to the cabin door. Is in addition to the window you have easy access to the outside. And it seemed that only people in the end cabins even went to that area.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - n/a

    Was wind a problem? - n/a

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? - The cleaning cart tended to be outside the door a lot...but not really a problem

Any other comments? - The cabin overall seemed bigger than your average balcony room, maybe because of the layout. It does not have a couch but does have a small table and two chairs. A lot more floor space. This was our first time in a non balcony room and we loved this one! We would definitely stay in this one again. Also, the location was wonderful, especially if you like the spa! The pool was also close as was the buffet!

  7. I have been following this. I can honesty say I never notice how long towels stay on a chair...lol I just find one and sit and read / people watch and take my stuff when I am done. I have never had a problem finding a chair....I don't get out early so I never expect to get a prime location...probably the reason I don't actually notice... Maybe if they start policing this I will get a good location from time to time. : -) Woo Hoo!!!!

  8. Mum (84 years young!) and I loved it! We chose onion soup instead of the fish stew and weren't made to feel bad for doing so - loved the video of little chef making the fish stew. We did choose to sit on a two top rather than a longer table but we were easily able to chat to each other in between the videos.

We would choose to do it again.

Thank you for this... I have a shellfish allergy...what is the option in place of the Lobster?

  9. I called my Celebrity vacation planner, Ryan. I purchased the upgrade for me and saved about $30 for the March 15th cruise. He laughed when I told him I could complete the transaction myself and told me to just call him when I want to buy anything.

I asked my person directly today, when purchasing the internet package..."does it make a different if I complete the sale or if you do" since I had it up on my screen? She told me, if she does it she gets points for the sale...although it is not commission the more points they get the better shifts the get. So that may explain that...lol

  10. The easiest answer here -and least expensive- is WiFi Calling mode on your phone. This applies to US-based carriers. It requires a WiFi package on the ship or WiFi hotspots in ports. Works worldwide. If you have an iPhone you can text/receive iMessages or you can use something like Whatsapp. You can make and receive phone calls. We have Verizon but every major carrier in the US supports this on their later phone models. You need an iPhone 6 or above for example with Verizon. You need to set it up once with your carrier before your first trip. Once onboard, put the phone on airplane mode then connect to WiFi. Leave it on airplane mode so there will be no charges. For Verizon, you will see a notation "VZW Wi-Fi" in the upper left corner of your phone next to the signal strength bars so you know its working. Try this at home to get used to it before your trip. It is very easy.

If you don't want to purchase WiFi on board just wait until you are in a port and find a WiFi signal and use WiFi Calling on land. Follow the crew- they usually know where the free WiFi signals are!

    Thank you for this!!

Just making sure I understand. If I put my phone on airplane mode...purchase the ships Wi-Fi, enable Wi-Fi calling on my phone, I can make calls while on the ship to folks at home with no additional charge correct? Do the people I am calling also have to have their iPhone on Wi-Fi calling?

  11. I cancelled and re-booked my one excursion yesterday. I didn't have a hassle. I have many times in the past as well. That being said in the past i just did it all through the cruise planner online, but yesterday i had to call to re-book due to the website glitch. They shouldn't give you a hard time as technically you could do it yourself via the cruise planner :)

I just called the 1-800-647-2251 listed on top of the cruise planned and they helped me out.

Because we are taking a wheelchair I have to use the accessible department in order to insure there is room for it. : - ( I did try that number first and they told me they could not help because it was originally booked through the accessible department...and there is not number to give me that I could only do it through e-mail...which is how I had to book in the first place. I guess they want it all in writing to insure they get it correct on their end.

  12. I am scared to ask...has anyone ever tried to get the price adjustment on already booked excursions? This is my first experience with Celebrity...on other lines I just call and rebook. Yesterday I had to email the accessible excursions department, we booked through them...no way to talk to them unless they call you back. They do not have a user friendly system. I am hoping this is the only "glitch". I have everything "time-stamped" to show when I contacted them and when I got the "scanned" response . Two of the three excursions we booked are on the 20% list...so lets hope!!!
