Look at Del Rio's “transition” and consulting fees for the next two years!😳 And they say they have to reduce services while rasising fees to return to profitability???🤔

Ill never understand how they justify these massive CEO transition and consultancy fees with all the cuts being instituted.

  2. Hi Everyone,

I am sailing on the Getaway this Saturday and have questions about peoples recent experiences of the types liquor and the wines selections available. Thanks to Birds review I was able to read the menus but still have some questions. The answers will help me determine if I should upgrade to Premium Plus or stay Premium. To give some context I like to drink Jack Daniels during the day switch to wine in the evening

I have been reading reviews where people say Jack Daniels No 7 is being phased out of NCL leaving only Gentleman Jack available on the premium plus menu. Is this true and is anyone having problems with this?

I am staying in the Haven and see that bottles of Santa Margherita (my favorite) are included in Premium Plus. Can I get this with dinner or is this available only to the main dining room?

With Premium Plus I know can have any wine available by the glass. Are all of these available in the haven or just what is available at the haven bar?

Thank you in advance for your help.

  3. The Sept 3 Getaway sailing arrives in Bermuda on Sept 9th even though the embarkation is the 3rd it isnt until day 6 that they arrive. There is a discrepancy between NCL and Bermuda travel website. NCL makes no mention of testing if it takes longer that 5 days to reach Bermuda after September 3rd while the Bermuda site does. You may have to test on the ship.

  4. So I want to take the 10 day Divina Sept 1-11th cruise but the yacht club shows sold out for that specific cruise. When I go to book the individual cruises a 3 day Sept 1-4 and a 7 day sept 4-11 they have Yacht club rooms available. I even went to check and there are several of the same YC rooms that are empty on both sailings which to me means you could offer the same room for a full 10 days. Has anyone experienced this? Should I go ahead and just book two separate reservations for the same room or are there negative impacts of doing that. Any advice is appreciated.

  5. We stay at Residence Inn Weehawkin Port Imperial. Its directly across from the cruise terminal on the NJ side of the Hudson river. Just step out of the hotel and take the ferry across. The cruise terminal is a 3 block walk on the NY side or they have cabs that will take you.  Plus you can stay parked at the hotel and when you come back just take the ferry across, pick up your car and go.

  6. Its apparent that if you utilize Peace of Mind then you will do so at a cost as most prices have risen. In the FAQ's it says you will be responsible for difference in price. So its probably a way to recoup their losses so when you go to re-book you are almost guaranteed to pay more.

What happens if there is a difference in cruise fare between the future cruise credit (FCC) issued and the future booking?

If the cruise fare for the new booking exceeds the FCC’s value, guests will be responsible for the difference. Alternatively, if the new cruise fare is lower than the FCC’s value, a new FCC will be issued for the remaining balance.

  7. I just looked and right now prices are up. I booked on Feb 28 for a May sailing to Alaska on Jewel for 989pp for a B2 balcony. Now the price is 1939pp. They could be raising prices so when you cancel and re-book you have to pay the difference? Or could be just trying to make up for lost revenues? Either way Im sure its not a mistake...business is business.
