Show was very cute, but all in 2.5+ hours (we abandoned ship at 2+ hours but before the last course).  Loved everything else we did on Apex, including the grand bistro for lunch.   But hard pass on LPC.

  2. It's pretty much just like on TV, but no models....electronic LED screen with the cases.Very basically you buy the equivalent to a bingo card and if they call your card number [don't quote me!] you get to be the one on stage. Everyone else with a card can win a prize [like a Celebrity pencil with no eraser!] if their card matches the cases or something like that.

The last big winner I saw won...I think it was ... $1!

We just got off Silhouette and noticed that LPC was lucky to have three to four tables occupied.  On a couple of nights, it looked empty.  After trying it when we were on Beyond in January, we said we’d never again do that restaurant. It’s nothing but a gimmick.

Of course it's a gimmic...how could it be anything else? They're projecting a tiny man on your dinner plate. Jajaja!

This was the menu last week on Edge.  You could mix between the 2 menus.

Yes!  That's the one I want. I looked at the app and it seems the first few days are one menu and then the rest are the Lobster one spoken of above. I will wait until I get on the ship as things always change...but I'm a sucker for the word "Tartlet"!

Not to be “Debbie Downer” but we did not enjoy LPC.

First, we wanted the lobster menu, but NOPE, wrong time.

Secondly, the show had a designated start time, we were 15 minutes early, but another group was 20 minutes late, so they delayed the dinner to wait for a few inconsiderate people….
    I won’t go again.

I hope your experience is better.

Question...had you checked the menu before you made the reservations? If yes...then that would be annoying! I want the shortribs and that's why I said above I will wait until I board to make the reservation. Did you miss the first 20 minutes of the video show because of the late comers?

I’m so excited to have come across this thread.  Our daughters really wanted Le Petit Chef in New Orleans, but that seemed like a silly option in a city known for so many great restaurants.  But on a Celebrity Cruise, with some OBC from the travel agent . . . perfect time to try LPC.

Yes!  It seems OBC is the way to go! The menu is also different on different nights. I am waiting until I get on board before making my reservation.

Points show up pre cruise and you can use them pre cruise.  We generally wait until after final payment because it is a final transaction and if you cancel the OBC is lost.  I assume if you modify the booking to a new cruise the OBC would also be lost.

I tried to convince my DH to take the statement credit and book on the card for the extra rewards points but it is his card and he likes the feeling of OBC.

Okay....how do you use your OBC credit pre-cruise? If I were to select something on the website it wants me to pay with credit card....do tell!

I have used points in the past and redeemed them a few weeks or a month before the cruise.  We redeemed for OBC to be used once on the ship.  But I have a different situation now.  We booked a European cruise for August 2025 and only have a small amount of OBC.  We've have a lot of points to redeem so we could get more OBC so that we could book some excursions before they are sold out.  My question is if we trade in the points now to book excursions or upgrade drink pkg, what will happen if we had to cancel the cruise (or Celebrity cancels). I think once the points are redeemed they are not refundable.  Is that correct?  If so what have people done?

Hi....one point....and correct me if I am wrong....if you redeem them now....you can't use OBC until you get on board. So you can't pre-book excursions. Unless you know something I don't know!

Absolutely!  There are benches in front of the glass blowing area set up for viewing.

    Hello!

Do they have demo sessions where they make stuff for show, aside from the personal paid sessions? Do you sign up to see these shows? How does it work?

Thanks Flipr! I actually like this menu better than the lobster one...I will also be using OBC so i will check the menus before booking!

About the Jewel of the Seas:

Check the spread sheet again. It appears to show free locker room access.

    Here's what it says:

They’ve changed the steam/sauna to a “thermal suite” that you need to pay for to access
Not sure exactly how they enforce this as they are still accessed via the men’s locker room which is open to all.

So I read that as if you are not paying for it you are sneaking in. And I will be the one to get caught and in trouble. HMMM.....

Just got back from the Celebrity Constellation after a 7 day Adriatic followed by 16 day Transatlantic. There have been no changes to the men's sauna and it's still free. The sauna seats about 8 comfortably and 10 shoulder to shoulder. It still has the big round window overlooking the gorgeous sea. The rest of the men's changing room includes about 25 lockers, 3 showers plus 2 cold showers just past the sauna door.

On the first cruise it was not used too often but by the 3rd day of the TA it got quite busy at certain times of the day which led to a lot of great conversations.

The Connie will be going into drydock in April 2024 so I'm hoping they do not build cabins in that area as they did on the Millie and Summit. If so, it'll be moved to the port side, with no window, and is much smaller....but still free.

Good Info! Thanks! I am sailing the MSC Meraviglia in 3 weeks and will report in. I wanted to know if anyone has been on the RCL Jewel of the Seas? On the sheet it says that the steam and sauna are now for pay....but are they co-ed or still deparate?

Just curious how repricing works? Do they lower the price or is the difference given to you in OBC?

Do you have to cancel and rebook or is it the same reservation number? If that is the case I guess you would be hit with cancellation fees….

    Hi Susan!

As Jelayne said...you call the cruise line or your travel agent and say "Hi! I saw there was a price drop! Can I take advantage of the savings?" and they say "Please Hold". NOTE: If you had a previous OBC....you may lose it as you are pricing with a different "Deal"...however you can still come out ahead.
