  1. Can anyone that has cruised on the Royal Princess in the past couple of months give me the name of the Captain and or Commodore and the name of the Maitre 'd?  We are traveling with several other couples soon and would like to know.

  2. Daniel A, absolutely not. Princess loves surprises that involve love! Contact your cruise planner to let the ship’s coordinator know your wishes. When you board you can leave a message with guest services regarding planning secrecy and contacting you. Plan for the second formal night as they usually have weddings on the first. Let your wife’s best friend or daughter in on it so they can guide her for the dress without letting her know. We had so much fun.

  3. We are boarding the Island for the Panama Canal Cruise out of L.A. and staying on her for the Coastal to Vancouver for a little over three weeks. I will do my best to answer your questions as this will be our first time on the Island. We are traveling with two other couples. If there is something you especially want to try, speak with the maitre'd after you board. The staff for that are usually available after the Muster Drill. On our last cruise we had a family member with special dietary requests which she submitted before the cruise. She was over the top pleased. Some of the same dishes we were enjoying were prepared for her minus the things she is allergic. We have found over the years that the crew will do what they can to ensure you have a good time. The head waiters are another ones to speak with. If you let them know some of what your husband wants, they will endeavor to please. Happy Cruising

  4. My husband and I renewed our vows for our 50th on the Ruby Princess last November and it was incredible. Our family was with us along with a few close friends. There were 24 of us so we chose the Deluxe Package. The staff went out of their way to make everything memorable. The Staff Captain's three year old son was our ring bearer and was absolutely adorable. The Captain Commodore was wonderful. One of the perks of the Deluxe was an invitation from the Captain to visit the bridge. We have cruised with Princess for many years so this was quite special. No matter which you choose, it will be lovely. The Coordinator will do whatever can be done to accommodate any special requests.

When you request your day, don't ask for the first formal night as that is usually the time for weddings. The flowers provided were beautiful and fresh. My husband says it was very tastefully done and he doesn't feel that anything else could have been done to improve the experience. We wish you Congratulations on your upcoming event.

  5. We were assigned an accessible room the day before we left for the Caribbean if we approved. No one had needed that type of room which is held until the last minute. It was quite lovely with more room and we accepted the assignment.

Today we were offered an upsale from a mini suite to a penthouse suite. We will be celebrating our 50th with 24 family and friends so we accepted this offer. We have never had a problem with any cabin from inside to suite. Loved them all.

    Enjoy and have fun.
