Hi. So sorry to hear the news of your Dad. Sending prayers your way. The virus that went around my house was a fever and excruciating headache. Lasted about 4 days. Hope its not that, it was awful!

You park your car, bring luggage into the elevator with you. As soon as the elevator doors open, there are porters there to take your luggage. Then the doors to go inside are right there.

This is a great review! Can you let me know which of the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms also have a couch that can be used as a bed? TIA!

When I was on BA in August, Edgar said he was traveling home for the holidays and would be back in February. This is the first year in over 15 years he has traveled home for Christmas!

This is ridiculous

Yes, in the buffet

These cruises are notorious for late embarking on the following cruise. Lots of cruisers party all night and have a hard time waking up and getting off the ship by the deadline.
Excuse my naïveté, but what are these cruises?

If you ask the Haven bartender, they will create a drink for you with the infusions. Fun to try a new one everyday!

I've sailed BA in Haven 5 times if anyone has specific Haven questions [emoji16]

Yes, until 10 pm, then they announce its "adult material"

The Staybridge Times Sq is a good option also. Breakfast included plus a small kitchenette. And Tuesday to Thursday Includes an evening reception. Free drinks and food for a couple of hours.

Conrad is literally right around the corner from the 9/11 memorial, if that is something of interest for the kids. Can also do the viewing deck at the top of one world trade....believe its around $25/pp.
Yes, it is of interest as my husband is a firefighter. Thanks again!

I just did a quick search on a hotel website and there are plenty of good deals to be had in NY in February.
Ink 48, a Kimpton Hotel is literally a block from the cruise terminal has rooms starting less than $250. It is located in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood and there are a lot of restaurants and bars if that is your thing. You also wouldn't be too far from the theaters if you wanted to catch a show.
I agree with the person that suggested the Conrad, it is one of my favorite places to stay in NYC. If you are driving it is easy to get to as it is just off the West Side Highway, which is called West Street at that point. It is also showing less than $250 for the night of the 18th. Great restaurants nearby there as well. Not much in the way of nightlife though.
Thank you for doing a search! Will check both places out. Traveling with our 2 sons (15 & 6) so nightlife isn't necessary [emoji4]

Hi all - Does anyone know the CD for Feb 2017 sailing on the Breakaway? Also, the Haven concierge? I know Edgar will be the Maitre d'.
Thanks in advance!

We booked the Hilton Garden Inn as well. The cost for a night + breakfast + ride to and from port was exactly what we would otherwise pay just for parking at the cruise terminal.

Hi, what month are you going? I am going to list I couple I have stayed at for cruises/concerts that I like.
For cruises I normally stay at the Comfort Inn Square West on 44th/8th I believe. Always easy having them take bags from you and it is not far from cruise terminal around 48th/12th- end up being a quick cab ride (one time when I was younger I actuallywalked to pier in morning! There is a decent diner around the corner so I usually get a late night dinner there after doing something in NYC .
Next to Penn Station/MSG I like the Fairfield Inn Pennstation- if you are taking the train this is less than a block away. Its only a few years old and I like it.
A third area sometimes I stayed in was a Marriott and also now the Lexington Hotel at around 48th/Lexington- its a quieter area but with several nice hotels.
Cruise leaves Feb 19th - thank you!

Our go to is the Conrad. Down on the battery but very close to the cruise terminal. I feel its a true 5 star. Usually runs 300-600 based on season. Enjoy your cruise!:)
Thank you!

As was stated in the first reply to your question, post your inquiry on the East Coast Departures board. Include the exact date(s) you need the hotel room, how many people are in your party, number of rooms needed, and your approximate budget. Hotel prices in NY City can vary widely from season to season and even day to day. One thing to keep in mind is that if you want to stay in Manhattan, parking your car can be very expensive.
Yes, I anticipate the costs. Thank you!

Hi all - Anyone have a NYC hotel recommendation for night before sailing? We are driving, and usually just leave that morning as it's only a 3 hr drive but we thought we'd spend the day before in the city to do something different this time around. Thanks in advance!
Longest time it took to disembark-NYC, take own bags
in Norwegian Cruise Line
