  1. We added bubbles to our hot tub on the balcony. It wasn't an intense bubble solution--it was one of those kid-friendly 3-in-1 soap, shampoo, and bubbles type. No overflow. The next time we used the hot tub (after having used bubbles), we noticed a few bubbles, but nothing obnoxious. Any hot tub use there after were bubble free 😊

  2. Thanks! HP17th is going to have to work as we're here now [emoji12] But thanks for the tip for next time--Hyatt House sounds great!

Thank you for the recommendations. I saw the AMC, but it seems quite a bit north of us. I appreciate your advice, if we close to see a movie.

Ah, yes. BBQ is a must in KC. My husband is an Oklahoma Joe's man. I grew up preferring Gates myself. Jack Stack is delicious as well--aren't all BBQ establishments good? [emoji490]

  3. Though I didn't receive a response, I emailed the concierge with the addresses provided and was able to reserve a cabana.

I know it worked, because when I received our sailing's official concierge welcome letter and requested a specific cabana, our concierge informed me that it had already been reserved...for me [emoji23]

He had me going for a second there! I thought it had already been snatched up by another passenger!

  4. I brought flip flops for before and after pool/hot tub/spa time. I wore lots of ballet flats. I only wore my tennis shoes in the gym. Hiking boots for our excursions when necessary. Heels for formal night (but I know you don't have formal nights!)

  5. Does anyone have a list of clothing you wore on an Alaska cruise ? Starting to plan for a May trip. Thanks in advance

We went to Alaska in the end of May and into early June. As many will say, LAYERS! Any glacier viewing from the ship may get cold and windy. Also, what excursions (if any) are you trying? We did a hike, so we needed hiking boots.

  6. We also enjoy the hilltop cabanas when we aren't traveling with the family. With young kids, great to have the waterfront cabanas as easy to watch the kids in the water. We will be at coco cay on our next cruise, but prefer the labadee cabanas.

I was going back and forth between OTW and WF cabana at Labadee. With our two little guys, I was thinking WF--no stairs. This helps!

    Thanks!

  7. Lunch is included for all guests on Labadee= you may have to walk to the barbecue as I am not sure of the lunch nearest to Columbus cove.

A question, we are in a suite and I have noticed no cabanas are listed yet for barefoot beach- can I assume that suite guests must book a cabana on board? Txs

It is my understanding that prior to cruising (a few weeks before sail away), suite guests are contacted via email by the ship's concierge. You can reply to your concierge and reserve your Barefoot Beach cabana prior to sailing. That's what we plan to do! [emoji41]

  8. Since your flight doesn't leave until 9PM and you are already adding on a rental car, why don't you stay an extra night and get your preferred flight home?

With mid February weather almost guaranteeing screwing up flights, it could be even later than 9PM.

Our nonstop flight the next day only has 3 seats available, and we need 5 [emoji20]

  9. I am shocked! Our desired nonstop flight from Fort Lauderdale to our home has sold out six months before our cruise! [emoji33]

I'm looking at neighboring Miami and WPB. I've been to Miami, but never WPB. Can anyone share any info?

Also, if arriving in Port Everglades, does RC provide transfers to just FL airport or additional airports (such as Miami or WPB)???

  10. Yes. I got strawberry smoothies at the pool bar on Freedom. And frozen mudslides on oasis and Freedom. The trick to frozen drinks is finding which bar has a blender.

I had a virgin Labadoozie on Labadee. I got virgin bloody Mary's nearly every day

I think the bars are accustomed to the package and don't bat an eyelash about virgin drinks. No strange looks. Easy peasy on both ships!

Oh! Bloody Mary!!! Yes, please! [emoji1327]
