  1. I'm sorry I am a lurker but you have written about so many things that did not meet up to YOUR standards, so I have to question why you would book more cruises on Seabourn given all your complaints from servers at breakfast to not liking the food. in the MDR and elsewhere Why not go on another line, I know you are critical of other lines you have sailed with but it seems like you had a lot of complaints on this cruise so why not keep trying another until you find what makes you happy?

  2. Which port are you hoping for Markham?

Honestly have not been paying attention to these boards in quite awhile, but this is funny. If you have met the person Mr. L is referring to, his in-person personality, manners, etc. are not like his on-line persona and it is no wonder Markham, Julie, and others who were on-board did not meet him.

But as usual he has no problem with posting pictures of others without obtaining their permission. Notice he never shows pictures of himself.

  3. EN: you originally wrote, before this thread was hijacked: "Why build one when you can more than double the cost for 2?". While I think anyone who understands business expected this was not going to be a one-off build, and if memory serves I think Mr. L. somewhere stated as much, (although we could argue if other CCL lines could also take advantage of the design) I am interested to know what makes you write that the cost is going to be more than double? The article referred to by another poster (rl787) did not give any indication of cost overrun or substantial price increase for a second (or more) build.

  4. It has been said by multiple other posters: select the suite you want if you worry about the outcome from rolling the proverbial dice. You might be very happy w/ what is assigned or you might not. I would think especially on your honeymoon that you would want to insure you were satisfied with your accommodations, at least I certainly would.

  5. I would not call myself a vodka expert but I do like Chase vodka in my very dry (Churchill) martini. I would be very disappointed if the bar only had Smirnoff. One question I would like to ask is how flexible or skilled are the bar staff in making unusual cocktails?

I always ask for something that the staff is not familiar with, (not on purpose, just usually what is a local drink in the current location, Pain Killer in Jost anyone?) usually a local drink, the Sky Bar expert always found a way to make it almost perfect. Bar staff goes the extra mile or 3.

  6. How I wish I could have been on that cruise. The Pride and the other 2 little sisters will be missed. Instead we get a 600+ passenger ship, like other so-called "luxury" lines. Wondering what would have been wrong w/ 2 280 passenger ships based on the O class w/ less cabins and more open space, and keep from having to discount the fares? Seabourn was great for their intimate, perfect sized ships, enough people to keep it interesting, not too many that you got lost remembering who that was. Just my opinion.
