  1. My experience with JB on time performance has been excellence. Most of the time the flight arrived early. I however fly from the Washington DC/BWI area. The one delay I had was coming back from MCO in Dec. There was an ice storm in DC the flight was 2 hours late leaving after boarding .This was due to DCA shutting down the airport temporary. JB allowed us to exit the plan freely to get food and showed a movie . Passengers were given free earbuds. With any winter weather ,delays and cancellations are to be expected. I monitor the weather forecast and plan according.

The schedules are usually not this late coming out. I suspect it has to do with the oil prices. If you can wait it might be worth it to check their prices.

Lastly , their CS is excellent. If any problems arise ,they will try and make it right. My new suitcase obtained a small tear on a flight .JB issued me a flight credit that is equal to a one way ticket. While the agent is doing this , she was empathetic and pleasant.

  2. December 2013. The Disney Dream a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas . It stopped in Nassau and Castaway Cay. Got hooked and spoiled so much . Cruised a 2nd one on the Disney Wonder in Jan 2015. It was a 5 day. Then got priced out of DCL so I tried the Carnival Sensation this year ( October 2017)

I am planning cruise #4 ( my first solo) for the NCL Bliss ( Jan 2019)

I would definitely say I am sooo addicted to cruising.

  3. Took my first Carnival cruise in October. I did notate I would be celebrating my 50th birthday, I received a $25 gift card from the spa and a $12.99 credit from Pixel. I did not go to dinner in the MDR on my birthday it was formal night and we were late getting to dinner and when we arrived it was an extended wait for a table so we opt to eat on the Lido deck. Therefore ,if a cake/ singing was there for me I missed it.

  4. Used the app 2 weeks ago while on the Carnival Sensation. I did not pay extra ( $5) for the chat feature. The weather updates, menus of what the MDR are serving were very handy.

I used my social wi package I purchased to keep in touch with my cruise roommate. I used the Instgram app's chat feature.

  5. This happened to my brother at a local casino in Maryland. He was able to recover his $, but it took several phone calls and letters. It was a few months before he saw a credit to his account.

One thing that helped was a receipt from that ATM that tracked the transaction. It showed a withdrawal, but when the machine was serviced it showed an overage against the transactions.

    Hope this helps.

  6. Does anyone know if Miami is a port, you can check a case of water in ?

I will be leaving out of MIA in Nov 2015 on the Escape and I was thinking about bringing a case of water aboard.

I have only cruised on DCL and when I travel with them. I usually order a case before hand and it is delivered to my stateroom. It is pricey, but convenient since DCL does not allow cases of water to be checked in.

I have never been on NCL and I am curious as to how this will work.

  7. I am agree prices do seem reasonable. I booked a studio for Nov 2015 and it was $50 cheaper than the studio on the Breakaway I originally booked for Oct 2015.

I do not like the ports of call versus the one on the Breakaway, but since this is a new ship and it is all about the ship and I have never sailed on NCL. I figured what the heck.
