  1. OK, I have to ask. How's the ride in the aft cabins during a rough sea? Also, are you unhappy with the loss of view both in and out of port? Thanks

Our cruise to Hawaii was mostly smooth sailing. A little rough first day out and last day of return. Did rough seas bother us? Not a chance, made it feel like your on a ship.

Many ports are entered while we are in sleeping, showering or eating breakfast or up and about. If in the cabin we can still see 180 degrees from rear balcony even from the non outside cabins.

Leaving ports, the view from the stern is spectacular, with the wake and view to aft and both sides.

What's to be unhappy about? It's an AFT balcony.

  2. I was in 8142 Balcony cabin which was at the elevator lobby just as 7041 is. Noise from the elevator is not a problem. Loud talking people waiting for or getting off elevator could be a nuisance. When the cabin door is open people waiting for elevator can see in 7041 though. Where these are located, there probably won't be too much traffic.

It really was not bad at all for us. If you really want to be that close to your travelling companions, keep these cabins.

  3. I can't seem to find the emergency contact phone numbers for Celebrity--on the website or our cruise docs. We sail on the Horizon tomorrow and would like to leave phone numbers with our family. (It makes ME feel better.) Anyone?

    Joyce and Tim,

  4. Main (early) is our time of choice everytime. We usually don't do the long shore excursions and are back on ship by our dinner time. If not, there's always pizza, pasta, sushi, Healthy Choice all-day dining available at later hours. This gives us time before the 9:00 pm shows to relax and listen to music in the lounge or go to our room for a while.

If we had late seating I'm afraid we would get hungry before dinner and tend to snack prior to our meal. We want to avoid this and enjoy the meal itself. We eat a substantial breakfast and usually a light lunch.

I do understand why some would like late seating also and that is certainly why it is available.

So many choices - so little time
