I don't think we have seen any reports of people with October cruises getting the invitation email yet.  That fact would seem to be telling. Maybe too much of a scramble for them.

We are doing a 5 day in late October and received the bidding email a few days ago.  There are no suites showing availability online so I am not sure if there are any, but we put in bids anyway!  We have a reserve mini as of now.

  2. I wanted to change an obstructed balcony to a deluxe obstructed balcony and the website and my CVP from Princess would not allow me to book a specific cabin for 2 people, only 3.

My CVP connected me with headquarters in Arizona and the woman I spoke to was able to change it for me, no questions asked!  It is for my son and his fiancé who are joining us.  I am elite with Princess so maybe that made a difference, but always worth a try.

I've heard this sentiment expressed countless times here. We've sailed in suites and in CC minis on a variety of ships. Suite bkfst sometimes in Sabatini's, sometimes in CG. Either way it's good but we've come to the conclusion that it is absolutely not a bit better than bkfst in CC.

I know that ours is a minority view and borders on blasphemy to some but nevertheless after scores of suite bkfsts and an equal number in CC, we cannot in good faith look upon a suite bkfst as "the best suite perk". YMMV

I totally understand your point of view, however it isn't "the best perk" for sure, but definitely one of the nicer perks.  We book a suite for other reasons, this is just a very nice bonus, in my opinion 🙂

I make a cup of hot tea and pour it over ice. This works great if you add any sweetener you can do that as well as lemon while it is hot.

We use about 3 tea bags to make hot tea then pour over ice.  So much better.  So so happy to hear the coffee is no longer that swill we always got!  Wonder if it is just the Sky or fleet wide?

It still doesn't work on my iPhone 10R, but it works on my husband's iPhone 8 and it also works on my work iphone 7.   I put in all of our info on my husband's phone and then signed in on my phone and it still showed only me and only 3 circles.   I have the latest version and my phone is all up to date.   I signed out, signed back in and the screen where I had 3 circles is now totally blank and it freezes up.

I am unable to enter anything because as soon s I enter my login info, the app shuts down!  Every single time.  Did all the things to get my phone up to date, and still the app is shutting down.  Have done a medallion 3 times already and not one issue till now.  Help!!!!  lol

  7. Can someone tell me if the aft balconies on the new Sky, which I am thinking is the same as the Regal, are at least partially covered?  I read that the Marin and Riviera (15 and 14) are totally exposed but the lower ones are partially covered.  Hoping someone can answer this before my final payment is due!  I do realize no one has sailed the Sky yet, but ....

    TIA, susan

  8. Always found that the earlier you get up to the Sanctuary, the best chance you have.  We have gotten there after 11 on some cruises and the choices were slim, especially if you're on the second leg of a B2B!

We always get it for sea days and only the afternoons.  Like to move slowly and not rush in the morning on vacation if I don't have to!  Think the times were 8-12 and 1-5   Nice being pampered a little and not scrounging for chairs when everyone is onboard.  Plus they bring you afternoon tea to your chair!!
