  1. My family and I (2 adults, 1 teen) are considering a cruise to Alaska next June/July. Our budget allows for an ocean view. I've noticed that there is a jump in price from cats 9B, C, and D to cat 9A. My husband is concerned that decks 1 or 2 might be too rocky. Can anyone share their experiences staying in staterooms on decks 1 or 2 to Alaska? Thanks in advance.

  2. Thanks! Just came across this on the Disney website for Remy:

    Brunch Dress Code

During brunch and dessert, the following dress code is enforced:

    • Men: Dress pants and a shirt are required for men. A jacket is optional. Please no jeans, shorts, capri pants, sandals, flip-flops or tennis shoes.

    • Ladies: A dress or pantsuit is required. Please no jeans, shorts, capri pants, sandals, flip-flops or tennis shoes.

    Looking forward to both brunches!

  3. My husband and I are excited to have brunch at both Palo and Remy. For Palo, I am planning to wear a casual dress with a nice pair of sandals (not flip flops) and my husband is planning to wear a dress shirt (no tie) with dress pants. For Remy, I am planning to wear a dressier dress and he is planning to include a tie, but no jacket. Is this acceptable, or should we dress up more? Thanks in advance.

  4. My daughter (14) and I are both interested in participating in the Castaway Cay 5k. She is planning to run and I would like to walk. Is walking allowed as long as you do so at a brisk pace? Also, what time does the race usually start? My daughter is signed up for the teen adventure which starts at 9:30. Is there enough time for her to finish the race and get to the excursion on time? Thanks in advance.

  5. Thanks for more great tips! The last time my daughter had her hair braided was at a WDW resort. The lady did a great job. I will definitely check out the snorkeling suggestion, too. As for shopping, I have heard mixed reviews about the Straw Market. Haggling isn't really my thing. Knowingly husband, he will want to check it out. :D

  6. My family and I will be cruising to Nassau on the Disney Dream in June. We are considering doing one of the Disney snorkeling excursions, but may opt to explore on our own instead. Here's what is on our wish list to see/do in Nassau:

    1. Shop for souvenirs (daughter and me) and rum (hubby)

    2. Go to a beach (me)

    3. "Get my hair braided" (daughter)

All insight is welcomed and appreciated! Thanks in advance.
