  1. We made it, by the Grace of God. We were evacuated, but were blessed with a very safe house to bunk down in with family. We had to leave our beautiful homestead and our 14 chickens. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. Not knowing what we would come back too.

Our southern neighbors took the brunt.

We have no electricity but the breeze right now is incredible. House intact and chickens are fine!

We are leaving for Cocoa Beach this Saturday, electricity or not, and sailing Sunday on the Liberty and WE NEED IT.

These last 3 weeks have totally exhausted us and stressed us out.

Praying for all who lost everything with this nasty, horrible storm.

    So glad it is over.

    DRINK PLEASE!!

  2. I don't care about hurricanes, typhoons or tsunamis. I don't care if the ship goes in circles to avoid ports or storms, I am CRUISING, no cleaning, no cooking, no work. This is a chance we take when we cruise during hurricane season in FLA, bring in the DOD and say a prayer for the motherland! :)

  3. Anyone experience this beach? We do not want to purchase an excursion, but explore the beach via a local who resides in Nassau half the year. Any other suggestions welcomed and encouraged!

  4. We just got off the Liberty today. No they do not have an adult pool any longer, not sure when it was done last. One evening and day one of the pools was closed which was a bit of a bummer, but overall it only bothered the kids. There were lots of kids on this cruise. We were afraid of college spring breakers being the majority of the crowd, but if they were there, no one realized it. Many children and young teens all very well behaved. My grandson had a blast. Loved "Donkey" he is very high energy. Would love to know where he is going next.

There were some issues so we wound up asking for reduction in our gratuities for that reason, but really we had a great time and before we even got home which is only 45 minutes away from Port Canaveral, we were already wishing we were back on the ship.

So, no more Serenity??? We were looking forward to relaxin a bit up there.
