Freedom of the Seas May 2020 sailing is at $55 per day.

We always get hotels the night or two before our cruise. Any hotel suggestions for San Juan?
We stayed at the Embassy Suites in San Juan (great hotel) years ago but it was pretty far away from the pier and we had to hire our own shuttle.
It'd be great to be closer to the ship and have a shuttle available.

Thanks for the info. I was also hoping Freedom will be added to the Royal App while getting Amped/Refurbished in January. We are currently booked to sail May, 2020 on Freedom. Used a similar app on Norwegian Bliss last month and loved it. RCL needs to get their ships updated on the app!

I am booked on Freedom May 31st, 2020. Excited for the new Amped up ship! But... currently Freedom isn't covered under the RCL app. Hoping they add the ship to the app so we can us texting while on board.

Does anyone know the approximate cost to have a load of laundry done on the Norwegian bliss?

Could anyone tell me how much the photo packages are while on board? I know they always run a special the first few days and we are debating buying the package before we cruise because they are running a special right now. We usually buy the USB and picture package.

I sailed RCL and it docked at the very end, last ship. My family and I did make the long journey to the end of the port looking for the free shuttle. We never did see the sign for the free shuttle or the free shuttle itself. When we walked out of the fenced area Bus #35 just happened to pull up, thank goodness! I didn't think I could walk anymore! The bus cost 1.8 euros each and our young daughter was free. The driver of the bus was so nice and patient, the family in front of us didn't speak French either and wanted to know where the bus went, they were very confused. It goes to Joliette. From there we took another very short bus ride to Vieux Port. The trip to town cost 3.6 euros! We took a taxi back to the cruise ship from Vieux Port and it cost about 20 euros. I think if I did it over again I would take a taxi from the ship to Vieux Port. The walk is very long and I have bad knees, my husband was fine walking so I guess it depends on if you like to walk. It is farther than you think!

Can you tell me where you caught this bus? Was it at the end of the long port?

I think someone in another post showed that they have extended the days to include Monday

Definitely for me, nothing compares to a balcony overlooking the ocean. Boardwalk gets noisy and Central Park doesn't come close to hearing and seeing the ocean.
What was cruising like just after 9/11?

We were on Enchantment of the Seas over 9/11. I remember we were getting ready to dock in Cozumel the morning of 9/11. We heard people talking about planes crashing into buildings as we finished breakfast. We had CNN on our little TV in our rooms trying to comprehend what was happening. We thought WW3 was going to start. The captain spoke and said we were still docking in Cozumel as normal. We noticed little gun boats following us, I guess for protection. We had almost no security getting onto the ship when we left Ft Lauderdale, but when we got off and back on in Cozumel, each passenger was scanned with a metal detector. RCL gave everyone free internet to check on loved ones at home. We finished our cruise and tried to enjoy ourselves. When our week was ending, RCL was practically giving away cabins if we wanted to extend our cruise.
