  1. Hi all! Going on our first Princess cruise in October as our honeymoon.  We were gifted several Princess gift cards as wedding presents, but we've already booked all our excursions. Can we book specialty dining & (hopefully) days in the Sanctuary, then use the gift cards on-board to pay our account? Or do we need to somehow add them to our account before boarding? Thank you!

  2. Hi all!  I am considering a cruise to Hawaii in October, round trip from San Diego.  There are 4 days at sea each way.  I know weather can be unpredictable, but can I expect the temperature to be similar to what it is in the Caribbean?  Or are these sea days much cooler due to the open ocean waters?  Thanks!

  3. Hi all! I'll be on the Jade in early May going to the UK. Does the ship provide umbrellas for the day? I once saw another cruise line that offered this and was wondering if this was something I needed to save room in my luggage for or if the boat lets you borrow one for the day. Any ideas?

  4. We did the Panama Canal cruise November 2-15 2014 and it was beautiful! The first couple of days there was a possible tropical storm heading towards Cabo, but it sort of fizzled. There were a couple times it rained overnight, but that was it. I hope you enjoy this cruise! I'd love to go back and see the new locks they were still constructing when we went through.

  5. We were never able to see the coast. This time we booked a Guarantee Oceanview, so we'll see what we get. Last time, the Coast Guard had to do a routine check on the ship and they were loading some extra supplies so we took off several hours late and did not get to see the cruise down the Mississippi since it was already dark. We're hoping we take off on time this trip so that we can see everything!

  6. Hi! I've booked this room twice on deck 10. The large "secret" deck up front spans the entire front of the ship and you can get down to deck 9 too. Its a great view, especially on Desk 9 where it juts out to the side of the ship a little. The only downside is that anyone who knows about this deck has access and can walk inches in front of you window. The rooms do seem a little bigger than a typical oceanview. So if you don't mind people possibly walking by, this is a great room.

  7. Oakman58 - we may be on the same cruise. We are also doing the 14 day full Panama Canal transit. We had booked an aissigned Oceanview room. Got the call on Monday to downgrade to the inside for a $2000 future credit. We are a little worried about being claustrophobic in the room, but we took the deal. We'll just spend a little more time outdoors! We're also already in planning for our next almost free cruise! :D
