After about an hour I let Emma know it was time to move on.  She was great in modifying our tour to be whatever we wanted.

With the tap of a button our magic carriage appeared and the doors slid open. Off to tour Bilbao.  It is one of the cleanest cities you will ever visit.

Wow - thank you so much for the tour of the museum - would love to experience in person!

  2. Deck 10 is a very good deck on the Star. One of the quietest for balcony staterooms. 10722 is the last port side cabin. You will be directly under the Spa and over other staterooms so noise is no issue. If you get an opportunity to move, we prefer the forward cabins close to the elevators (10524-10560 portside or 10024-10060 starboard). They have great access to the Beir Garten (great views), the pool deck, and the hidden and only rarely used hot tub on 13 forward of the Beir Garten. If you are unable or unwilling to move you have an good location on an excellent ship. My wife and I have spent nearly 90 days at sea since 2013 and the Star is the only ship we have rebooked.

Would you know why cabins next to each other sometimes skip numbers: example 9072 and next door 9076. What is in between? You seem to know a lot about staterooms!!

  3. dddaisy: You're bringing back more memories! Mary Quant, Members Only:eek:!

I have a yellow organdy blouse that was purchased more than 45 years ago...that STILL gets worn several times a summer! Sorry to say, there's no label...and I didn't cut it out!

The "Vermont Store" (and the catalog) carries a section of nostalgia items, and I bought a Tangee lipstick - I don't use it - just inhale that old familiar smell and it brings me back 55 years! They also carry "Evening in Paris" perfume. And as already mentioned - Villager - sigh. . . .

  4. What a help you are to all of us! So that's bad news about the number of ships in port that day. Are we facing the same situation in Split - arrive later that night, have the morning there - so August 21st and 22nd. If we arrive early enough, can you recommend anything we can walk to that would be fun to do that evening? Are the shops open in Split on Sunday? In both places we have included tours, so depending on how long they are I'm not sure about there being time to "walk the wall", although it does sound like a wonderful thing to do!

  5. Petlucher:

Your lucky day, only 2 others will be at the Gruz Harbor for a total of 4,289 cruisers. The better news is that a certain ship will not be at tender in the old port. Do enjoy your time in town, there are many lovely churches, museums and sights to visit.

Can you check out another day/ship? We'll be on Aegean Odyssey on Saturday August 21.
