Yes!  According to their website they adjust the departure time if your cruise ship arrives later than 8:00AM.  There was availability for both August 15th, and August 30th (another poster's date) when I checked the Small Group Extra Leg Room Shore Excursion they offered. You can contact them to clarify any questions about the tour.  Here's what we booked:  https://odysseycoachtours.co.uk/giants_causeway_tour/shore-excursion-giants-causeway-tour-small-group/

Awesome - thanks! This is very helpful - we’ll contact them. Thanks!

I recommend you book a tour with https://www.valuecabs.co.uk/taxi-tours/

They have a tour to the Giant's Causeway and the Rope Bridge, it may be worth contacting them to see if they could tailor it so you get the other locations you're interested in.

Thanks! We just checked their website, that may be a good option too!

We did the Giant's Causeway with extra leg room shore excursion with Odyssey Coach Tours back in 2019.  After we got to the causeway, folks who wanted to cross the Carrick-a-rede rope bridge were taken there, but still had an opportunity to see the causeway.  There is an extra admission charge if you choose to walk the bridge.  Here is a link to their website:  https://odysseycoachtours.co.uk/shore-excursions/

Thanks!  That’s good to hear!  Were you on a cruise when you were there?

Check Trip Advisor for Shore Excursions in Belfast.  Unfortunately, I want the same thing on the 30th, but Odyssey is not doing it on the 30th!

Thanks!  I have left a message for them asking. So far it looks like they hit all the stops but the description isn’t clear if the rope bridge is a stop or just a photo op.  Hoping it’s a stop that allows time enough to walk it.   We’ll see…

Thanks.  But this doesn’t pick up at the dock and it leaves at 9:30am but our ship doesn’t arrive until 10am. That’s what we’ve been finding, tours to the places we want to go all seem to leave earlier than we arrive in the port.    Tours that we find that will pick up at the port when the ship arrives don’t shave all the stops we want.

  6. We will be arriving in Belfast on Aug 15 at 10am on a cruise.

There are a couple things we want to do but we can’t find a tour/excursion that has both included, typically we find one or the other but not both since our ship doesn’t arrive until 10am (there seems to be plenty of tour operators which offer both but the start time is before the ship arrives).

We’d like to do both the Giants Causeway (with time to explore it) and Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge (with time to cross the bridge)

Has anyone found a tour that includes both of these? We’ve only been able to find tours with one or the other, or one with just a photo opportunity at the other.

We’d also like to see Dunluce Castle (photo opportunity only is fine) and the Dark Hedges (photo opportunity only is fine).

if we could get all 4 of those things in while we’re there, it would be perfect!  Any suggestions?

I would highly recommend checking out the WWII museum if that interests you. It's one of the top museums in the country and 3-4 blocks from the Hyatt and Hilton Garden. Cambria would be a couple blocks further from it but a couple blocks closer to the French Quarter. Plan 5 hours if you do go.

Normally I would say you can just take the streetcar from Julia street to the French Quarter but with construction on the new four seasons hotel, that streetcar stop is closed. It's supposed to be replaced with a shuttle according to the article I read but I haven't used it or heard of anyone using it.

    https://wgno.com/2018/07/30/two-stops-on-riverfront-streetcar-line-suspended-for-four-seasons-hotel-construction/

From the Cambria you'd be about 4 blocks from the French Quarter and from the others it would be more like 6-7 blocks.

Thanks again!  You are a wealth of information!

I don't know the priceline hotels as well as the hotwire ones. On Hotwire I can tell you the Warehouse District 3* all suites with 85% recommendation for $98 is the Hyatt Place New Orleans Convention Center. The Warehouse District 4* with 95% recommendation for $101 is the Cambria. The Warehouse District 3.5* with 85% recommendation for $102 is the Hilton Garden Inn Convention Center.  Those would be the ones closest to the port.

One more question: if staying at any of those hotels, would we close to things to do and see in NOLA?  None of us have ever been there and since we just booked the cruise, we’re trying to figure out how to make the best of the 2 days we have there prior to the cruise.

    Thanks Greg!

  10. We are coming in to NOLA on Jan 12 a couple days before our cruise on the Carnival Triumph on Jan 14.

any good deals on a hotel near the cruise port for the 2 nights before the cruise?

Saw this express deal on Priceline for $97 per night. Anyone know which hotels these may be?

  11. You wouldn't by chance be on the June 1st sailing would you?

Hubby and I are in room #2421 under the galley as well. My advice is to just invest in some good earplugs!

Hey, we are the week before you on 5/24!

Guess we will pack some earplugs...

  12. I just found this forum, it's great! As I look at many of the signatures that list the various ships and dates people have cruised, I only wish I had kept track over the past 20 years! I think we have been on about 10-12 cruises over this time, it would be nice to be able to stroll down memory lane with the dates and ships!

Anyway, my question ... We are booked on the Carnival Breeze cabin 2424 in a few weeks. Any input/comments on this room? We typically have stayed on deck 7 on most of our Carnival cruises, and with only 1 exception, we've never had any issues with noise (that time we were in a cabin right below Camp Carnival and suffered through the noise of kids running and jumping all the time!). This time I notice we are near the elevators and below the galley, anyone have experience with this cabin, will we have noise problems?

This is my first post, sorry if it was too long...

Thanks in advance for any comments!
