We didn't have a problem getting our cart when we went there. Our problem was that while driving it around the island it started on fire! Luckily we all got off of it and the "water department" came and put the flames out. Someone picked us up and took us back to where the gave us the cart and we got another one. I'm not sure why it burst into flames! Could have been a very different ending. My avitar is the golf cart!

What time is everyone going to the ship?

For those of us going to the Ale House pre-cruise Feb. 7th, and staying at the Springhill Hotel, I contacted the shuttle service at Springhill and told them we needed transportation to the Dinner. They said it would be $5 pp. I forgot to ask if that was for round trip or just one way. I said as of today what I could see from the posting that our group was at 12 people so far. Truegrit

Unfortunately we don't land till 7:00 that night What time are you meeting? Maybe we can work it out to meet up with you when you get back to the hotel or maybe we can head over there after we check in.

Also, does anybody know if Spring hill has a shuttle from the airport? How bout to the port?

Each cabin has a deck of cards and as the crawlers arrive they pick a card and then host cabin writes down their pick on the scorecard.

The host cabin can also participate, and sometimes they decorate or offer up some refreshments of some sort...maybe something from their hometown.

At the end,we tally up the scorecards and find the winning hands.

There will be 1st place,70%, 2nd place,20% and 3rd place 10%...also a

"boobie" prize for the worst hand ;0)

Also if you would like to crawl without offering your room, then please let me know, so I have an idea of how many scorecards/cheat sheets to make up. Now don't be shy, because anyone can play even if you don't know how...that's what the cheat sheets are for !!!!!!

We just got about 6 inches of snow today. It's beautiful outside but I'm ready for an island!

We will host for the poker crawl too, we don't have an aft wrap or a suite.

I'm going to work on the excursions this weekend.

We finally booked our flights. I kept waiting for prices to go down but they just aren't. We could fly anywhere else for less than flying to Ft. Lauderdale. What's going on down there that week????

Our Carnival TA told me 11:30am is earliest that they recommend as Customs sometimes will hold up debarkation. Our Delta flight #1589 leaves for Atlanta at 11:45am.

Darn, that's what I thought too. If we could fly out at 10:30 it would save us 100.00. Our flight roundrip from Chicago is 543.00!!!!!

To those of you who have got to FLL, how early do you think we can book a flight home if we do the self debarkation?

We just did it on our cruise in Sept. and loved it! We won't be doing it on this cruise since it will be way too soon and the same menu. Definately do it if you haven't.

We're from Canada...so no "home town" teams...but I'm a Chicago Bears fan and John is an Oakland Raiders fan...we're probably both safe from needing to watch the game too intently;)

I'm not ready for the cruise to come up so fast! I just got back last week after being gone for almost 3 weeks! I'm just over the jet lag.

The people at work will kill me if I start talking about my next cruise.

For those that aren't sure what is involved, here is an explanation

Each cabin has a deck of cards and as the crawlers arrive they pick a card and then host cabin writes down their pick on the scorecard.

The host cabin can also participate, and sometimes they decorate or offer up some refreshments of some sort...maybe something from their hometown.

At the end,we tally up the scorecards and find the winning hands.

There will be 1st place,70%, 2nd place,20% and 3rd place 10%...also a

"boobie" prize for the worst hand ;0)

Also if you would like to crawl without offering your room, then please let me know, so I have an idea of how many scorecards/cheatsheets to make up. Now don't be shy, because anyone can play even if you don't know how...that's what the cheatsheets are for !!!!!!
