  1. We sailed from there last year in May. Found it very easy to park there and we arrived around noon during the rush. Just line up, drop off bags with porters and drive right into the garage. You prepay and they direct you to a place to park. Garage is immediately adjacent to the terminal, so there's a really short walk. Would not hesitate to park there again.

Sorry, have never been to port of Baltimore so can't compare.

  2. We stayed at Embassy Suites (17th St) in November. Nice hotel. They have a package that includes transportation from airport to hotel and hotel to cruiseport. They have a free happy hour with drinks and snacks and breakfast is included as well. Right next to the hotel there is a shopping center with restaurants, supermarket and liquor store. Also, a few other restaurants within walking distance. Only thing you'll need to do is arrange transport back to airport after cruise. There are plenty of taxis at port when you disembark and it costs about $20.

  3. With a partial transit cruise, the ship goes through one set of locks only rather than making the full transit all the way through to the other ocean. (full transit cruises are usually 15+ days) So, if you are leaving from Florida you will sail through the Gatun locks from the Atlantic and anchor in Gatun lake. Those going on excursions will tender out from there and the ship will then sail back through the same set of locks and dock in Colon, Panama to pickup those that went out on excursions.

DH and I just returned from the 10 day partial transit on the Coral and had a great trip! I'm sure you and your friend will also.

  4. We are cruising on Insignia in November and made a request for Pepsi products in our fridge. Initially our TA told us that there might be a fee but called into O and was told that not only would they stock our fridge with diet Pepsi but also have it available throughout the ship. Thanks O! :
