  1. Haven't been on CC in a while. Sadly because I have no trips planned. :(

That is crazy how cold it was for you, but good that you had a handy sweatshirt. I am glad to hear your experience was grand other than the weather.

Thanks for the note, Connie. I am still enjoying our photographs. My twin and I celebrated our 80th birthday in May. She came from Washington State to mid-California and stayed about a week. I had another sister and two brothers to celebrate with. I showed our photos from the cruise and everyone enjoyed them.

No other pleasure trips planned for me. Maybe next summer.

  2. Glad you both enjoyed. I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip. I love taking photos and it's so hard to decide how many to post or how many is too many. I just assume everyone is like me and loves photos too.

Just got home last night and haven't much energy today.;)

Everything you wrote about was helpful in understanding where we were.

We only had a few days of summer and had one problem with a coach driver not knowing how to turn on the air conditioning.... Otherwise, everyone said it was the coldest summer in remembrance. There was a great sale on sweatshirts. I was glad of mine when we were at the Honolulu Airport. They don't know how to regulate the air conditioning....freezing cold!

The trip was a wonderful experience, but badly need to recuperate before planning another trip.

  3. Costco does not really follow a practice that the customer is always right, neither do a bunch of other very successful companies. What they do follow is to understand the customers they want to attract. They define service offerings that appeal to those customers. They work to execute those service offerings very well. They work to correct situations where they fail to execute in providing those services.

If you think Costco has the view that customers are always right try going to customer service and complain that they need to carry a wider selection, or need smaller package sizes or anything else that is outside of what they have defined their services to be. I doubt you will see your request honored.

Many of the companies that have high customer satisfaction ratings do so because they have very targeted customers, define their services for those customers, and are perfectly willing for customers outside of that targeted group to go away. they have very high ratings among their customers because those that are not satisfied by their services tend not to remain as their customers. Harley Davidson, Apple and many other of the cult brands fall into this model, as does Costco.

There isn't a "10 items or less" check-out counter at Costco! Also they frequently do a change-up on departments...moving everything around keeps you wandering through other departments. 'You just might see something you have to have that you didn't know you needed when you arrived.':D
