Hi, I have seen a cabin in the same category as the one I have. I would like to change to this, my booking was with a OTA. Am I right in assuming I have to request the change through the OTA and not Royal. Thanks.

If I use the CWC for a FCC how is the voucher issued .
Pre tax prices Guest 1 $727 Guest 2 $245
As an example If we book a cruise for $500 each would guest 1 receive another FCC for $227 and guest 2 still have a balance of $255 to pay or would the 2 FCCs be added together and a balance of $28 be due
Thanks

This, though if it's a CWC FCC, the apply by date is 4/30/22 for a sailing before the end of 2022.
Thanks again.
I think I have been a bit hasty booking cruises so far ahead I have 3 booked and paid for in Nov 21 and 3 for Dec/Jan 21/22 I then have 3 deposit paid only cruises in April 22 and 3 in Nov 22. The FCCs will more than cover the balances due and I will not be booking additional cruises in such a time frame So it will cost me $$$$ for being loyal and booking early.
Note to self do not be eager to book so far ahead.
Our covid figures in the UK are getting out of hand again and we may be denied entry to more countries very soon according to reports over here.

Yes. The balance should be issued as another FCC fairly soon after application, no need to wait for the sailing it was applied on.
Thank you.
Example senario.
FCC issued Dec 2020 expires Dec 2021 Value $1000
Existing cruise booked last year deposit paid $500 Balance of $800 due March 2022
If I apply the FCC in Jan 2022 (1) will the new FCC be for $200 and valid for a further 12 months or (2) will I get $200 refunded to my Credit Card in lieu of the deposit paid or (3) will the FCC if issued expire on the same date as the original FCC.
Apologies for the ramblings I just cant get my head around FCCs and I may have 6 come the end of Jan

Can I ask.
Can a FCC be applied to an already booked cruise.
What happens to the remaining balance of the FCC if its below the cruise price and when does the new FCC get issued before or after the cruise it's used for sails.

Protocols to be used on sailings (like masks, vaccination, etc) - RCI is announcing those monthly - what RCI will do for Nov not yet out.
Thanks I think I've got it now.
I cancel now I get a FCC I wait for protocols and if restricted I get cash refund is that correct,

Yes.
You may not be able to use your FCC if you book at home with RCI (USD FCC on a UK booking).
The FCC can be used on any US booking with either RCI directly or any TA.
Thanks you really are a star. yes my bookings are with a US OTA. What did you mean re the November protocols

Yes, you can move it, but you should consider taking the refund when the protocols for Nov are announced (maybe later this week).
Sorry I don't understand. I thought I could cancel now and get a FCV via the CWC promise. Are you saying I could get a cash refund instead of a FCV if I wait for the Nov protocols to be announced.
Sorry to appear vague, cancelling is new to me. I am wanting to get some alternative cruises booked before the 31 Oct deadline for CWC.
I will be booking with RCCL direct this time as I have called my OTA and was told to leave a message and they would contact me within 7 business days.
Can FCVs be moved from the OTA to RCCL

Hi
I will have to cancel a cruise I have booked for the 7th November 2021 due to the US borders opening on the 8th. I have not had to cancel a cruise in the 22 years of cruising ( I have had cruises cancelled and refunded to credit card by RCCL) and have a few questions for the good folk here. The cruise was booked with a US OTA. I understand I cancel with them but do I need to word it in a certain way to get the FCV and not just lose everything for cancelling.
A few questions before I contact the OTA.
1. Does the CWC allow me to move the cruise to another ship and date without the need for a FCV and pay the difference or is it cancel wait for the FCV then book the new cruise.?
2. How long does the FCV take to hit my account ( the cruise I am looking to use it on departs on the 5th December 2021 so not that far out)
3. Is the FCV tied to the OTA I booked with.
4. I have cruises booked for April and November 2022 can the FCV be used to pay any balance on these and what happens to the surplus can this be applied as OBC or used to prepay gratuties.
Thanks for any advice.

A person can read a hand written card, hense you can enter Europe (nothing to do with vaccine rates). Unfortunately the US hasn't got the technology to read our QR codes.

I think it is still valid. EU also cannot read our vaccination cards as we do not have QR codes ... cards are handwritten, but people are allowed to enter.

Just announced in November the Canada USA land border will reopen , early news is no test required to cross in to American, just be vaccinated
thais is huge new for cruises out of Seattle for next year as well as flights , not to mention we have not been to or vacation property since March 2020
Any firm date given. Last Month Uncle Joe said border would open for Europe and UK early November. Nothing since.
Word over here ( UK transport minister) is US has not got the technology to read European vacine certificates. Only the slips of paper issued over there.

On my statement ( which they converted into £ when I didn’t want them to!) it says 1.00 USD = 0.7596 GBP
They seem to do this to me everytime. I used to think I was ticking the wrong box.

"Assuming RCI extends the 30 day final payment rule, protocols are declared before final payment and they keep the rule to allow refunds for protocol reasons, you should be able to get a refund."
I am keeping an eye on the Nov 7th ExOS now at 33 days Should the protocols for this cruise be published in the next few days. Never had to cancel for a FCC did a few L & Ss last year. We madde final payment weeks ago, are you saying a cash refund is available upto 30 days prior to cruise if protocols are unatainable for us. Thanks.
-
Not seen any information as to when ExOS will start the required test cruises. Someone did mention seeing her in San Juan last week so that sounds promising.
At 33 days now and no check in available as yet. If all the planets fall into line we should be on the Nov 7th for a B2B2B. Just need a date from Joe regarding US entry for us Brits prior to the 7th of November.
-
39 days here also on Explorer. Check in has never been open for this cruise.
Royal up is available.

Thanks! I also keep telling them to book thru the US site to qualify, or thru a US TA. 🙂As of May 6th, 2020 we have also added the new "Best Price Guarantee" option outlined below.
• Best Price Guarantee -Spot a better price on your booked cruise? Our Best Price Guarantee lets you take advantage of a better price up to 48 hours before your sail date — just give us a call. You’ll receive the difference as a non-refundable onboard credit inside final payment or rate adjustment outside final payment

The last two comments you made are not correct... We have used L & S for two cruises and if you look at the RCG UK booking page CWC you will see the FCC is offered.

So my parents and I have been on all the exact same cruises. My first cruise on Royal Caribbean was in 1999, which would have made me 12 years old at the time.
I currently have 35 points, but my parents have 51 points. Why would there be a discrepancy with our point differences? Could it be that I was too young on my first Royal Caribbean cruise to start accruing points?
Second, how old do you have to be to join the Crown And Anchor Society? We're thinking of signing my niece up for the program, provided she does well on this next cruise. She's 8 years old now, but will be 9 when she goes on her next cruise. I understand that there's a youth loyalty program, but I can't find anything about how to sign her up or how old she has to be.
Third, I'm booking a cruise tomorrow, will my points be added to my account then or would they be added to my account once I actually set foot on the ship?
I'm not mad or anything, but inquiring minds want to know these things!

Remember that 2 week stay at Grandma's. Guess where mum and dad went. ha

The UK has different booking rules/conditions than does the U.S. on cancelling cruises, so I would check with your UK travel agent. 🍷
Sorry I should have mentioned it is a US agent.. They have just replied to an email from a few days ago and it is $50 per person to cancel the cruise or move the deposit to another cruise. I will cancel but I will book the 2 new cruises with another US agent who provides a UK phone option.

RCI would allow it, but you need to contact your TA to find out if they will charge you a fee to do so. (I also recommend that you find a different TA for future sailings, one that will talk to you on the phone)
Thanks I have already decided that its time to move TA Its not worth the $50 loyalty bonus.

You need to talk to the TA as RCI would refund the complete deposit. Many online TAs have a policy that charges you a fee if you cancel.
Thanks for the reply . Would it be possible to move the deposit to another cruise also with RCI .
My scenario is We have a TA booked for November final deposit is July 30. We also have a cruise booked from San Juan for November 22nd and If we could cancel the TA we would book 2, 7 nighters from San Juan to coinside with the 22nd cruise. We are from the UK and the online TA will not call UK phones and the only way to contact them is via email which takes 5 to 7 days for a reply and they only read the first line of the query and tell me to call them and leave my phone number and they will call me back. So frustrating.
