Thanks for the pictures. The Christmas decorations are wonderful.
We are going on the Summit for first time in February. Can't wait to sail on this old lady.

@VintageCheap Thanks for the updates, we are going on a Summit 4-nighter in February.
I would be interested to see wine prices/selection at Cellar Masters. We have the Premium but even that looks limited. Also interested to see MDR menus if possible.
Enjoy your vacay!

I would concur that Royal Caribbean would probably be a better choice choice for a 15 year boy.
One reason I choose Celebrity ahead of RCL and other cruise lines is their food and drink I find better, however that might not really be of interest to a teenager.

We were on the Encore in November. We could not book shows in advance, instead we booked several shows at the electronic kiosks located near the elevators. We did our bookings as soon as we got on board, while we waited for access to the rooms to open up.

On the Apex last June, a group of 4 met in the Raw on 4, around 6 pm, we had some of their specialty drinks and ordered a few appetizers, the food was a la carte. Drinks on the card.
The restaurant was not busy at that time and we were welcomed there. And the food/drinks were yummy.

DMS1, did you go to Amber Cove or Puerto Plata? We are on a March Encore sailing with Puerto Plata as the port but I’ve read that has been changed or canceled for some cruises.
Yes we did stop at Amber Cove in the DR. It has a nice pool and water sports area.
I heard of someone walking to a beach area, but I am not sure where
I thought the all day zip line pass was a great deal for a younger cruiser. Your drink card does
not get you anything here.
We got off the ship, sat by the pool for a few hours, it was enjoyable.

I just got off the Encore, Dec 4. It was great!
To answer a few questions:
Yes it was Coke products.
I found service at Manhattan to be a little bit more attentive.
We had a new CD, a lady, Majenda (sp?), and Alexa was not there.

We were on apex for 1 week in June. There is so much art work on board that are hidden gems. I agree with others that the free dining in Eden is also a hidden gem.
Enjoy it all.

Perhaps it varies by itinerary. On my recent Apex cruise to Norway the minimum bet was $10 on the outer board. After that $1 on the inner was ok.

On the Reflection I have stayed in the Oceanview room, 2 doors down from the passport bar. Loved the location and convenience, you have a giant living room just outside your bedroom. No noise issues.
A great choice, Enjoy!

Going on the Norweigian Fjords cruise June 19.
I believe that the Raw on 5 may sometimes be held on the Magic Carpet.
I looked at the menu, especially cocktails, and was wondering if a guest can go to Raw on 5 for cocktails only? Or a small appetizer to eat with cocktails?
TIA,
Darryl

It seems to me that to fly into the USA from Canada, a person needs a COVID antigen test due to existing CDC guidelines.
With almost all the COVID guidelines disappearing in the US, I was wondering if anyone has any insights into when the CDC may be lifting these guidelines?
I see online the CDC order that took effect Dec 2021, and I says it will be in effect until it is changed. No specific date for review.

Just wondering how far in advance you were notified your bid was accepted? A couple of days before you sailed? Or earlier
I think the move up offer was about 14 days from sail date date, and my offer was accepted and acknowledged about 10 days in advance. Certainly was not in the last few days before saildate.

Last month, I was offered at $100 minimum bit to move from Oceanview to Balcony on the Celebrity Infinty Alaska cruise. My bid of $110 per person was accepted and I moved to a very nice balcony on the 7th deck. So glad I did!

More than a year ago I booked an Oceanview Cabin on deck 2 for a 7 night on the Celebrity Infinity Alaska Cruise departing May 27, 2018. This week I was given an option to bid on the Move Up Offer. I bid just over the minimum bid and just found out the I got a Verandah for the week. I am very happy with new room and new price. Not saying it works for everyone, YMMV.

I was looking at a Celebrity Infinity booking for Alaska, May 2018. Right now an online booking agency that I am regular customer of, offers a price I am happy with 3 perks included.
I am going to be on-board the Equinox on this April 14. :D. I was wondering if I should wait to book the Alaska until then, transfer to my TA or should I take the price and perk package on offer right now? Any thoughts?
Thanks.

Cruise 7 day Eastern (Nassua, St. Thomas, St. Kitts)
Inside stateroom: 9101
My wife and I just got back from the Allure. Yes it is a great ship and we had a wonderful cruise, you can't go wrong on this ship. I always enjoyed reading other's opinions on the boards so I will add a few of my own.
Dining: We did my time dining, probably for the last time. It was not great, we would sometimes get placed at tables where our tablemates were eating their main course or desert. Very chaotic, and not the best of service.
Food: A couple meals in the dining room were of very poor quality. With all the penny pinching, I noticed the fresh-pepper grinders have been chopped.
Dining Room Kitchen Tour: Did this on-board tour, it was fabulous. Our host gave us lots of details and would take any and all questions. It was a bargain at $20 pp.
Sabor: Nachos, Salsa and Guacamole were excellent, well worth the $5 charge.
Entertainment: We enjoyed the shows. Mamma Mia was excellent, we enjoyed the ice show and the headliner singer, Jeff Tracta, so much we went twice.
Weather: We found cruising in early September to be very hot weather, it took away from our enjoyment of the stops at islands, or time spent poolside. Will go back to our more usual November/December dates.
Still the experience was enjoyable, I would give it an 8 out of 10. RCCL could have done better in the dining room.
Happy Cruising Everyone.

Hi,
Going on the Oasis, Feb 14,2015.
I was wondering if anyone knows of the arrival and departure times at Falmouth Port. The itinerary says 10:30 - 7pm, 10:30 seems late to me.
Thanks.

Thanks for the great review.
When I was on the Summit in February 2024, none of the hot tubs were working. Not hot and no jets. When I asked the pool attendant how to turn them on I was told you can't. I am wondering if that situation has been fixed?
