We were due to board the Ruby Princess to Fiji.

We booked direct with Princess. I also lodged a dispute via my credit card provider on 21st April.  Not sure if that action hurried the process along.

You might be able to check with your TA if they have received the cancellation notice email from Princess.  It seems that once this has been generated, your refund is processed shortly thereafter.

Hi we had a cruise booked departing Sydney on March 21st.

FCC received May 7th.

Cancellation notice from Princess 12th May.

Refund on credit card May 18th.

Hi,  here is the view this afternoon from Thirroul beach.

The ships are anchored a bit further south off Fairy Meadow beach, but can still be viewed in the distance.

From left to right, the ships are Radiance of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas and Carnival Splendor.

Hi, just went for a walk and the Voyager of the Seas is now here.  It is the ship to the left of the picture, Radiance of the Seas is on the right.  The two Carnival ships are also anchored to the North.

Beautiful day at Thirroul and as you can see, there are a few people taking advantage of the good weather.  
 

Docker123, thanks for reiterating that the ships are at anchor in Port Kembla anchorage.

Radiance of the Seas

Just thought I would let you know that this is the view from Thirroul Beach NSW this afternoon.  A very unusual sight.  Not often that we see a cruise ship so close, let alone three of them.  They are classed as being at Port Kembla anchorage.  Thirroul is a northern suburb of Wollongong.  We’ll keep an eye out for more cruise ships and will keep you posted.
