Captain Tuvo has not been on any of my cruises & find this discussion interesting.

 

The idea that a captain with a personality & sense of humor cannot perform his duties in a professional manner makes no sense to me. Being described as a passenger’s Captain makes him someone who I’d like to have at the helm. Most of the captains limit their interaction with passengers to required duties only & it’d be refreshing to have a captain who enjoys interacting with passengers.

I’m beginning to think this person is one in the same and just trying to stir up the pot. Yes, it does not make any sense.

We have a cruise booked for April leaving out of Naples on the Armonia and now its disappeared all together! I've called multiple times trying to find out but have only been told there is an itinerary change. It's been over a month and no change. I'm beginning to be concerned that this cruise is cancelled but MSC is not telling us.

Yes you can do that. You are not assigned a Voyagers Club number until you apply for it, Status Match or not. So if you wait to get to another level with a qualifying competitor, you can apply at that time. You can only Status Match once though, so be sure to use the opportunity wisely. However, you can't take the number of points you have with one cruise line and add the "multiplier" as you put it to equal MSC's program. The "matches" for NCL are below:

 

NCL Bronze = MSC Classic

NCL Silver = MSC Classic

NCL Gold = MSC Silver

NCL Platinum = MSC Black

NCL Platinum Plus = MSC Black

NCL Ambassador = MSC Black

When you say you can only status match once, do you mean it's only good for one cruise, Or do you mean that once you status match you cannot status match again, if you go to a higher status on another cruise line?

I've booked a cruise on the Golden Princess about 2 weeks ago through a TA.

I've just looked at this cruise on Princess's own website and now they're offering $350 OBC if I booked now.:mad:

 

Does anyone know if I would be able to get that OBC retrospectively or is it just a case of - tough you booked when you did !!!!

Yes, you should be able to change your booking to the Sip and Sail promotion. Your rate may go up or it may not. Mine did not increase but others said there has. Just call you TA and have her check.

I'd choose Muckross Houise. It was one of my favorite tours of all time.

Has anyone used any other guides/drivers in Spain other than Spain Day Tours?

Allure docks in Civitavecchia at 7am. What are the chances of getting to Ciampino for around 9am for a flight at 10.55am?

I think that's cutting it close. It's an hour to an hour and a half to get to the airport. Thats without traffic.

I just made all our MTD reservations for our Vision of the Sea cruise, for May, and booked all for between 6:30 and 7:30. Maybe it depends on the ship. :cool:

How many bottles are in a package?

Booked 2 cruises a few months ago for 2015 for the Mediterranean. One a JS the other a GS both are double now. Saved about $12,000. There hasn't been a good sale since!

The only way I would cruise on NCL is if you are in a suite. The perks make all the difference.

We're going on the May 3rd Vision of the Seas cruise. Would love to hear more about taking the boat. Is it easy? We were thinking of taking the train, but the boat sounds really nice.

May, 2015. Vision of the Seas, Barcelona-Barcelona 13 night cruise. This is our 3rd RCL cruise, but its been 16 years.

We normally cruise on Princess and I have never had a problem getting the Shareholder Credit. We are cruising 2 time on RCL next year so I am considering buying the 100 shares. I read so much on how they do not let you combine discounts/promos. Both cruises we booked on the BOGOHO sale and also the WOW. I called RCL today and asked if the shareholder credit could be combined with these discounts and they said yes. I hope it's true!

We will be on the Vision next year, twice, 13 day and 11 day Europe cruises. This will be our 1st RCL experience, we usually cruise on Princess but loved the itinerary they were offering. Can't wait!

What's the bus number to Nice?

We're going to be in Venice this time next year. Just wondering how crowded it was. Was there a water shuttle provided by RCL? If so where did it let you off. If not, how did you get into town?
