I organized one and had a paper that people signed up and paid in the money. Here is the rules I posted to get people signed up and we played by. I took it from someone else on here and modified it to fit my needs. The part they don't do anymore is you could contact John and he would get some door prizes that part is gone.

 

I am organizing a Slot Pull on (given date). If you areinterested, read the rules below and comment so I have an idea of how manypeople would like to participate.

Slot Pull Rules

1. The entrance fee is $20 per personcash.

2. Official sign up will be at the Stage by theCasino on Sunday at 1 PM.

 

3. We will use a dollar machine. We will playthe maximum bet on the machine and everyone will have an equal amount of pulls.

 

4. All slot money will be put into the machinebefore the first pull.

 

5. Once the first max button has been hit, noone else can join in and the game is closed. The slot pull will end after thelast person entered has taken their turn on the slot machine.

 

6. Participation will be in the order of slotpull sign up. Please remain with the group during play, so you will not missyour turn. Turns will NOT be made up.

 

7. I will check names off the list and recordthe amount of all of the pulls.

 

8. If we hit a large Jackpot, we will collectthe payout and put all BUT the winnings back in another machine. The remainingfolks will then start on the new machine. (We do this to improve our chancesbecause once a machine hits big, the chances of it doing it again are veryslim.) If the jackpot exceeds the amount in which taxes are due ($1199) theplayer who pulls the large jackpot will be responsible for filing the tax form.

 

9. You must remain with the group at the finishto collect your share of the winnings. (I will not spend my time trying totrack down people to give them their money.) Please meet me back by the Casinostage after we cash out, you will be paid there and any uneven balance will begiven to the player(s) with the largest winning round.

 

10. The winnings will be distributed equally,except that they will be rounded down to the nearest dollar. The person whopull the highest winning round in their pulls gets the left over change. Incase of a tie it will be split equally.

11. Remember, this is a fun event to maybe gaina few dollars and enjoy the company of others in your group. I encourageeveryone to cheer on the slot pullers and mingle with others in the group.

Just realize that it can be a lot of work. As the casino host, you put your card in the machine that is used. If there is a payout over $599, you are going to get the 1099 form and will then have to report the winnings on your taxes. Additionally, you will have to cash out the winnings (if any) and split them between all players. Sometimes the casino will only give so many small bills, but yet, you still owe money to people. And then there always the chance that someone in the group will complain that the points earned in the casino (that go towards drinks on us cards, etc), all go to you. It can become a pain and more hassle than it’s worth, in my opinion. But, some people love doing it. So it depends on what you are willing to do for the enjoyment of others while on your vacation.

Carnival stopped sponsoring them and got sick of people complaining to them about this or that (they do not want responsibility), not nixed. You can organize one if you wish. I participated in one last week on Valor and met some fun folks. It is fairly easy, just take the complainers in your group with a grain of salt and remind them participation is NOT Mandatory...

There was a post...quite awhile back, that Carnival has nixed group slot pulls...

I’m sure there are ways around it, but be aware.

We played in a slot pull on the Miracle in January casino even donated a few T-shirts.

Any advice on organizing a slot pull. I' ve been ask to organize one, have only participated in slot pulls never but one together. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you in advance

I am having second thoughts on cabin selection on the Breeze. I booked cabin 8473 aft wrap balcony, now I not sure about the size of cabin it doesn't look like their is a place to set other then the bed. Can anyone who has stayed in this cabin give me advice. Thanks

When you take a child into Mexico you are required to have a notarized letter signed by both parents, I not sure about any where else. I've cruised with my grandkids and have only been ask for the letter once out of four cruises.
