I live in Northeast Florida, a hot spot. All the Walgreens and CVS that do testing show no appointments available for 2 weeks out. Our health department does testing, but only on Tuesdays and Thursdays so any of those are currently not open for me unless things change before our August 30 Magic cruise. I can go to the urgent care and get tested but charge is $50 unless you’ve been exposed.
I live in Central Florida and just looked it up at the Minute Clinic at CVS and appointments and testing is wide open. I could get an appointment tonight if I wanted one.

Officially John Heald said that you can't cancel without penalty, the email said nothing about cancelling.
In practice, I'm reading numerous stories about people getting full refunds when calling, even if they're within the penalty period. Carnival would be foolish not to give full refunds given such a dramatic change.
I'm getting a full refund for my 9/9 cruise.

I left a message for my PVP who called me back within an hour. I was able to cancel my 9/9 cruise for a full refund. My 22 year old son who really wanted to go on this cruise said he no longer wants to go if he has to wear masks. My PVP did confirm that masks are going to be required in all indoor areas so we are going to take a pass and maybe go another time.

There are some places that can turn it around quickly. My brother was able to get it done just recently although he had to drive about an hour away. I don't know who he used but I'm sure if you google it you may be able to find out.

I'm getting that $200 rate when I pull it up. Too bad it's California!

My PVP stated yesterday that the Magic cruise I just booked for September is capped at 65%.
I'm liking that! I'm on the Magic on 9/9 and to have it at 65% means no major crowds. Awesome!

Get a PVP. Then you have an extension as well as an email address.

That's interesting, since it's not available for our Sept. 18th cruise on Magic.
I'm kind of torn between getting it or not. I've gotten it once before and didn't really feel like it was worth it - yes, we were able to go right to our cabin which was nice, but our luggage didn't show up until 7 PM, and the early debarkation wasn't really a big deal for us.
Yes I feel the same. I don't see any reason for why I would need to go to guest services on this cruise and I don't feel any need to rush to my room. That's funny about your luggage as the same thing happened to me last time I got FTTF.

I seen to recall a written update on that and some have reported that they aren't allowing this anymore. I may book the steakhouse if I can confirm this will be an option and not just a single bottle as some have indicated in other posts.
The wine by the bottle offers better choices and buying a couple bottles for the weeks dinners each night at half off would be sweet.
I had dinner at the steakhouse on the first night of one of my cruises - can't remember which one - and got the free bottle but I didn't recall an offer of 1/2 off additional bottles. If I could do that it would be awesome.

Something we took advantage of was "half price bottles of wine" on our first cruise night at Steakhouse. I purchased 5 bottles of wine that first night and they were delivered to the MDR for our party to have access to during our cruise. Don't know if this happens all the time but I was glad it happened for me!
I've never heard of this!

They are offered. WE just had one on Horizon.

Do you recall the price?

Anyone that has been able to get on a cruise this month, can you tell me if this is still offered? I'm not planning on getting Cheers but this is a package I got in 2013 I really liked. If it was offered, what was the price?
-
It's being offered on my 9/9/21 cruise on the Magic. I'm passing on it this time but I do usually get it.

I've never stayed in a Havana cabin so I don't know what those are like. However, honestly, with the way this Covid thing is going, I wouldn't book anything but a balcony in the chance there is any kind of on board quarantine. I would hate to be stuck in an interior. After 4 years I decided to take a cruise again in September and made sure I had a balcony for that "just in case" circumstance.
-
I've had Cheers and my son has had Bubbles and I've taken his card up with me when I've gotten a drink and I've grabbed him a coke without him being with me. It might be different with alcohol though.

Totally agree with the judge. I think appealing this is a waste of time.

I feel your pain, because we have a cruise booked in Sept, but our attitude is this:
We booked a cruise. Yay! If it sails, awesome! If it doesn't, I will probably understand the circumstances, we'll rebook again for later.
If I cancel now due to uncertainty, I know I am not cruising, and that makes me sad.
But, I will admit we have a high confidence of sailing, we are on the Magic out of Canaveral.
Us too! We are on the Magic for 9/9 and feel confident we will be going. We are vaccinated.

I have a cruise booked for September 9 so is this for new protocols or more ships sailing?

Coral Castle is an amazing place to visit.

I have a cruise scheduled on September 9 on Magic. I didn't even consider it might be cancelled as I thought cruises were all a go now. Hmm ... should I be worried it may be cancelled?

Yes, many ranging from a beach day to city tours. There was also the waterfalls excursion that sounded like fun. What exactly are you looking for?
Not sure - just curious as to what's available.
-
Do they have excursions for Amber Cove? I'm stopping there in 2 months and no excursions listed so far.
-
When I went (probably 7 years ago I think) I booked a tour not with Carnival but to see sloths, monkeys and an iguana farm as well and it was fantastic. I have a pic of my son holding a sloth like a baby. Really amazing.

Have you seen in the LIDO if the gelato station is open at lunch?
Vista Class ships for sure, other ships may not have it.
That's my explanation! Thanks!
