  1. Hey Sue,

Yes you guessed correctly we might indeed be similar ages.

KiwiAus is another Ozzie family on Fantasia at the same time. I have briefly made contact with them and a lady from Patagonia on the roll call for this cruise.

I would love to meet you guys for a drink one time as sounds like english speaking people will be the minority on this cruise.

I too have been trawling through this forum for many months and am very thankful for all the posts of other cruisers as I have learnt so many tips :)

See you on board in a few weeks.

    Cheers Bronwyn

  2. Hey Suuluu,

Sorry I cant answer any of your questions but I am on the same ship as you on 5/10. As there doesnt sound like there are many english speaking people hopefully we can meet up for a drink at some stage. I am travelling solo from NZ.

Only a few weeks to go....

    Bronwyn

  3. Hi

I am traveling solo on Fantasia and Splendid in October. I booked in Feb and have paid for a room with zero single supplement. My TA couldn't believe that I could do this after I booked directly with MSC. I was told then that there were only a handful of rooms per cruise where this is available. Not sure if anything has changed since then?

Good luck to other solo traveller's.

  4. Hello

thank you so much for your help I will definitely try and get off in one of the first groups and get the 11am train.

Thanks Pete for posting a pix it is great to put things in perspective.

I am a little nervous as not only as it my first cruise but first time to Europe and traveling by myself so this forum has been invaluable for all the advice.

Really appreciate everyone's reviews and time taken to post responses.

    Thanks again

    Bronwyn

  5. Hello,

I am a first time cruiser frantically trying to plan my excursions etc and love reading these forums and picking up all the tips.

I was hoping someone may be able to give me some advice. My Med cruise on the Splendida ends in Genoa on 19th Oct at 8am and I am heading to Nice, hopefully by train. I am trying to arrange this transport but wasnt sure how long it would take me to get off the ship and get to the train station?

There is a train at 11am or a 1pm, would be be safer for me to book the 1pm train?

    Any advice appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Bronwyn
