  1. Laxmom34 - We will be in 5316 December 31 2017 I am so looking forward to being near the Red Frog Pub and tasting bar...and the casino. Seems like a great hidden place to be.

We were in 5316, we did not have any issues with with the room being too warm. I like it cool and it was just fine for me. I liked the location. We had a fridge in our room too. It was a very quite area. Visit the taste bar there are many tasty treats throughout the cruise. They also serve a lite breakfast. Ocean plaza is very near your room and has many great activities, the alchemy bar has great drinks and the Fred Frog Pub has pub trivia every evening which we enjoyed. Great cheesecake (under $2) at The Shake Spot. All of these areas are close to your room.

We had late dining it was perfect for us. We go into port as early as we can and like to relax after coming back, then have late dinner.

The shows are twice per night so you can see them if you have early or late dinner seating. The comedians were good, the venue is small get there early. The Hasbro game show was fun to watch and so is the Newlywed game.

    Have a great time!

  2. We are sailing May 8 on the Valor and we have Anytime Dining. Our last cruise we had a set time to eat and we missed out on shows and a parade my son wanted to see on RCC. So I am hoping anytime will not be so bad. I love the full course meals over a buffet.

The advantage to having a set time to eat is you have the same wait staff every night and they get to know you. On our last one the waiters were so good to my son and would ask if we had a great day and knew when we sat down that the kids wanted to drink.

  3. I received a call today for and upsell on the Valor sailing May 8th I was in a 8F balcony on Deck 10 and the upsell was for a Ocean Suite on Deck 7 mid ship for $250. I took it because it is a graduation cruise for my daughter. While talking to her I went on carnival and tried to book the suite and I was getting a deal.

This is my first cruise on carnival. I asked her why we were chosen and she said when I am looking to upsell to a suite I look for families and she seen we were celebrating a graduation.

  4. I received a call today to upgrade to a ocean suite on Carnival Valor we are sailing May 8th when it comes out of dry dock. We were in 8F balcony on Deck 10 now we will be in a ocean suite Deck 7. IT was only $250 ... its just me and my two children and we are celebrating my daughter graduating high school and going off to college. Mt parents that cruise twice a year said take it... they would have and said they have never received a deal like we did.

  5. I am very happy to see this. We are sailing in May for my daughters graduation. I know I will get my moneys worth. I just wish they offered a in between card like Royal Caribbean offered for my teenager that is only 17. I was able to purchase her a card that allowed her to have all the non alcoholic frozen drink and specialty coffee pretty much anything non-alcoholic.

  6. If you want a relaxing beach day, and not spend a lot of money, Paradise Beach is a winner. It's a short taxi ride from the cruise terminal, a $3 pp entrance fee, which includes lounge chair, umbrella, beach and pool access, clean showers/bathrooms/free wi-fi. They have a bar/restaurant to purchase food/beverages. We had a great day there in March.

This seems perfect for me and my kids to go to for the day.
