Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences and pictures. I'll be on this ship for 14 days in November. Although not the first time I always learn something new from everyone's posts. Do you know the cost of MedallionNet?
Hope you enjoy the rest of your cruise. I'll be "sailing" along with you.

Thanks everyone! Happy to hear RCCL offers the service. I mostly cruise on Princess and always use the service and agree it is money well spent.

Hello,
Will be going on my first RCCL cruise in October. Does RCCL offer the service in Fort Lauderdale where they get your boarding pass from the airline and collect your bags the night before disembarkation and take them to the airport for you?
Thanks for your help.

I used EZCheck in December off the Royal. Got my boarding passes the day before and didn't have to hassle printing or downloading to a phone. The problem I ran into was there being an extra charge for a bag that was already included in the cost of my airline ticket (JetBlue). It took a few weeks to straighten it out but in the end I was happy not having to schlep the bags ;)
What did you have to do to get it straightened out? I noticed the same thing.

Hello,
Just got an email that Princess Cruises will be featured on Celebrity Apprentice on the next two Mondays. Does anyone know on which ship the filming was done? I apologize if this subject was already covered. I searched and scrolled through a couple pages but couldn't find anything. Thanks!

I look forward to a Dunkin Donuts iced coffee when I get home. Never had a good iced coffee on the ship although the frozen coffee drinks are delicious.

That was a sore subject for us. Our room stewed never brought us the forms and we would have done it. I know that Delta and Alaska were both on the list. Not sure of any others. When I inquired at the front desk, I was too late to participate. Well I had 5 mins to fill it out, and didn't want to take the time because we were already lining up to get off in Juneau and needed information that was back in our room.
We were going to send our luggage to make it easier to tour around Seattle before we flew out. But our trunk was big enough to fit all our luggage in the rental car, so it all worked out fine, and saved us the cash to use EZ check.

Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry you didn't have a good experience but at least you were happy with how it turned out in the end. I'm going to make sure to watch for the forms. I've always used EZ check when flying on Southwest or Jet Blue from Fort Lauderdale. It's nice not to have to search for our luggage in the terminal or deal with it until our final destination. Best $20 I spend on a cruise. This time we are flying Alaska Air so I'm happy to know they participate.
Your info on clothing to pack was helpful too. I know what to set aside now and will watch the weather until the last minute to see if I need to make any changes.

Thanks so much for taking the time to post your informative review and beautiful pics. It makes me look forward all the more to our turn on the Ruby on September 4th.
One question.... Did Princess offer EZ Check for disembarkation? Do you recall which airlines participated?
Thanks again

OH! I'm glad you asked! Well "yes" and "no". At least, I was told by my other CC members that YES, EZ check is available in Seattle.
Phew! I thought - we will not have to schlep our heavy (and potential overweight) bags to the airport! YEAH!
Well, the 1st day on board, I asked at Pax Svcs when the forms to sign up for that would be sent out and I was told that it would NOT be available due to some 'contract' not being signed/finalized.
So, for THIS trip - it was NOT available (major bummer! Glad I stuffed an extra collapsible bag in one of my cases!)
I hope it is available for future cruises out of Seattle. So, I would suggest you check on board as soon as possible OR as it gets closer to your cruise, to post the question back here on CC to see if any current pax can give you updated info.
One of these days I'll actually be able to use it!
Thanks for asking!
New York Nana, thanks for the information. I am hoping it will be reinstated by September and will continue to ask.
Has anyone reading this thread taken a late night flight home from Seattle? What did you do all day and what did you do with your luggage? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
New York Nana, your review and pics are great! Thanks for sharing your experience with all of us. It's always fun to read a review and see pics from the cruise that we'll soon be on.

New York Nana (and anyone else who my know),
Does Princess offer EZ check in Seattle? If so, which airlines participate?
We are doing this itinerary in September and are trying to make plans for our trip home.
Thanks for your help.

Beautiful float! Nice to see the original Love Boat cast together again. Does anyone know who the other people are who were on the float?

What a spectacular sailaway you had! Bon Voyage!

Hi Carolyn,
I, too, just returned from a wonderful, relaxing cruise on the Royal Princess. Sorry I didn't get to meet you -- we were neighbors -- I was across the hall in B731.
I agree with you about Carlito -- he was the best -- took excellent care of the cabin and always had a smile on his face. The cabin stewards all work so hard day after day for months at a time.
The Royal is a beautiful ship with many nice features. This was a great itinerary -- loved all the relaxing sea days and the ports. The weather couldn't have been better after the earlier prediction of rain for all three port days.
Looking forward to doing this repo next year.

Are there extra ferries going to St. George? Last time we went to Bermuda we went to St. George on Monday and the line for the ferry was long. How much are the bus passes this year? Looking at the web cam this week, the weather in Bermuda looked beautiful. We'll be going a week from Friday and are hoping for sunshine and blue skies. Was it very humid?
Thanks for the info.

Where on the ship can you buy the bus/ferry passes? How early in the week are they available?

Dessange is located in the shopping mall behind Embassy Suites (it's on the second level on the right as you walk towards the mall). My sister had a pedicure there one time before our cruise and she was pleased with the service.

Wow, that must have been some plate of beans he had for lunch!

We recently stayed in balcony cabin R702 under the buffet and close to the elevators and stairs. Never heard any noise. I really liked the location.

Glad they were able to fix the problem quickly. When they fixed it' date=' did they come into the room, or was it fixed remotely, from one of those access closets, out in the hall?
Thanks.[/quote']
One time they did it from outside and the other time they had to come in to the cabin. Both times were fixed within 20 minutes of calling.

Thanks for sharing. We were on the same cruise and found the food to be delicious contrary to many of the negative comments that have been made. Ate in Michaelangelo for dinner most nights. Thumbs up to our waitstaff, Imre and Christopher. They are the best!
