Sailed out on honeymoon in March 1986 and the Mardi Gras was anchored beside the new refurbished Battleship USS Iowa. I went aboard the Battleship and walk around only on the front deck as permitted and got a USS Iowa Battleship cap, I still have it. Ronald Regan had the this ship & USS New Jersey reactivated at that time.

I had my honeymoon on the Mardi Gras March 16 1986. Great cruise and food but I hated the shower & toilet set up!
