I have seen some old reviews about Buck Island, but does anyone have any experiences recently? Thanks!

I'm interested to hear about this as well!

Yes they are large enough for a small to medium beach bag. Yes for snorkel gear. And you can get a couple of them. No charge. There is a key on a rope you just take it with you.

Never been to Jamaica - what are good buys there?

Never been to Grand Cayman. What are things people like to buy there?

Yes - it requires a deposit. If you pay more money they will take you off the shore a little for a snorkeling spot. The day we were there in July 2014, the waves were crashing near shore, you would have had to swim out farther to see anything.

My 68 year old mother and I went to mr. Sancho's in July. It was not a crazy Jell-O shot party. It was definitely crowded. The buffet was tasty and the swim up bar wonderful (pool was crowded though). We swam in the ocean a little but it drops off very quick which made it challenging to get back to the beach... The waves were pretty forceful. They have lockers for a deposit. They do offer snorkel gear for a deposit but I doubt you would see anything right there at the beach. You can pay for them to take you out snorkeling. They have a few hanging beds. Lots of lounge chairs and covered tables but people do put towels on to hold them and not really use them. There are more activities you can pay for. I will say, we shopped first and then went around 12 noon. So it was already packed when we got there. We saw people of all ages... Families etc.

I stumbled on your review from your signature line (5 years after you posted this review!) but still wanted to say how great it is - we are going to be on the Allure this spring and it really got us excited! Thank you! You have inspired me to be thorough in my pictures!
