Hi, this message is unrelated to this forum but just wanted to mention that if you are no longer going to be on the Oasis EB t/a in 2019 you may want to remove your info from cruise fellows . com? Enjoy your Oriental itineraries,
Jeff
We are in China at present and just booked two last minute short cruises on Ovation sailing from Tianjin.Price was too hard top resist and booked very quickly so am not too fussed about differences in charges on board but I am certainly curious to know what they may be. Hoping some on here have cruised on these short Chinese cruises.
Main questions are.
We are diamond plus so what happens with our happy hour benefits? I think the D lounge is converted into a high rollers room but does the Concierge lounge still exist and if so can we use it?
Is there an upcharge for the "free" items elsewhere? Particularly flow rider but also I-fly and North Star.
How chaotic is the boarding process at Tianjin?

We’ll see you guys there, Paula and Jim, unless we have a visit to the naughty room.Great review so far! We are onboard Jewel now holding down the fort! Enjoy your time in San Juan and we look forward to meeting you two at the Sky Bar!Jeff and Brenda Lee

We look forward to meeting you tomorrow, Dave...great perspective, wittiness, originality, execution and ideas. Thanks much for writing it and I look forward to reading more,

Life is never allowed to be too easy, eh? We hope he can get back up to snuff soon.Ah ha - I see about the little Roll Call blunder - I've finally gotten used to how CC is organized, but it took me a while. I know people who never develop a comfort level and steer clear (DH is one of those). After his pneumonia last fall, he worked hard to rebuild strength and has done great, so we've been able to live mostly "normal" lives the last couple of months. However he started a new chemo about 2 weeks ago and it's knocked him down again. The doc took him off it and now he'll focused on getting back to where he was. Next week I'll be watching for some 2019 winter escapes to the Caribbean. What about you?We are not able to do more than one trip per year; Brenda is now retired but I have another 5+ years to go (with no time off for good behavior unless we try an international living dot com type of idea). Good luck with your next bookings, though it hardly seems like you need any re: booking cruises!

Hi, Mindy and congrats right back at you for hetting what you wanted! Not sure why you feel stupid - it appears you did very well - if you're referring to the TA when you'll be in 1100, that means you're getting 28 points - Congrats!!!I felt stupid being that after I booked the Jewel I started a Meet/Mingle roll call on the general Royal forum (twice yet) instead of in the Jewel M & M where it should have been. Bob and Karen ("Internetwhiz") came to my rescue.
How is John? You have no doubt been busy watching for cruises but we are missing you on the Jewel roll,
Jeff

Not a prob...much of the info I used came from the good people contributing to this roll last year and especially this one.Thank you so muchCindy
Bob (Clarea) thanks for setting me straight on the Roll Call starter. I feel stupid but am happy today; we were going to be 2 points shy of Diamond after our spring/'18!transatlantic we just booked but because it is a 14-nighter we will be Diamond after ut instead of our current "Rusty Scrap Steel" status.

I absolutely agree. It almost seems like they are announcing the itineraries with sky-high pricing so that they can subsequently show that the price WAS x-amount but is now y-amount. On the other hand the prices were reasonable at the outset last year at this time.I see it it nowHopefully Brilliance and Vision TA's will be cheaper.
At this moment they are making other cruise lines appealing

Best to call them on the phone or try refreshing the web pageWhen I try to check the new releases with Edge I keep getting 404 error codes. With Firefox I can get farther but still a mess. I tried to check on the spring 2018 TA of the Serenade as the only thing available is owner suite.
-
Hi, Margaret! It seems the last release was delayed for our UK friends as well; doesn't seem right but neither did the free drinks package you folks got on the Harmony t/a in fall...When I check the UK site it doesn't even show up that this sailing is available now!!!Margaret

Hi, Karen and nice pics of you and Bill in Mexico by the way. What are we doing up? My excuse is that there is a PVR'd Toronto NHL game on (our Winnipeg team also won) after the evening shift. It may not be wrong. Where are you seeing this. Doesn't show on the US websiteAnyway, here is the link that worked for me (your mileage may vary):

$3639CDN pp Balcony and Suites starting at $7309 pp CDN; can't test-book anything and obviously the prices are a mistake.

Thanks...I was sort of gathering it was one of those "We're taking more of your $ in the name of vapourous improvements" deals. It was $380 more for the aft wraparound (cabin 9256) than a balcony hump (cabin 9588). They use to be the same! I'm guessing the old E category would of been cheaper?? Didn't ask.... -
Thanks, Shelton! So what do you gather is the effect of the new categorization? Cheaper? More expensive? We just booked also....We may change when we can see itineraries on lineJune 29th Radiance
Cabin 9256 category 4b(most expensive non suite - new category)
$4135 includes taxes/fees - 2 people
D+ Discount
Priced out August 24th.
$600 cheaper
I asked her if we needed to be C&A and she stated no
FYI...
June 29th JS (now J3) $6215
August 24th JS (J3) $5515
Cabin 1100

Friday ? ...Usually it's mid-week.
As newbies our only experience is from last year and what we were after came out Wednesday March 2nd at 11:30 pm Central (12:30 a. m. Eastern). The Royal Caribbean dude on Bookface said (didn't catch much of the question) that the new itineraries would be available the week of the 20th, probably Friday.Friday ? ...Usually it's mid-week.That being said and especially because I am on evenings this week (and thus can stay up later being I can sleep in) and with Royal's wildly fluctuating intel variances I am going to be checking each night anyway.

Do you mean the Alaska/Cruisetours/Caribbean year-'round/Bahamas one or the Europe Phase II one?Itineraries will probably become available Tuesday evening. There will not be any other info released beforehand. -
Some Royal bigwig did a live blog yesterday and said it would be next week, likely Friday. I sent a question whining re: having to wear helmets for open skating. He read aloud the kudos but neglected to mention or answer my question but such is life.Well it's almost time for the next round of releases, maybe tonight?? Probably not:cool: -
