Thanks for the welcome! I'll be 60 next month, and I'm halfway active. 🙂 I walk a lot at work (I'm a librarian and am always sorting books, pushing carts full of books and stuff like that.) I sometimes do yoga and swim, but I'm not really into exercise. I do love food, and I tend to overeat on cruises. If I lose some weight between then and now, then I'll be back to normal when I get back. I haven't been on a cruise since 2009 and can't wait to get back.

Hello! I'm new here, but just booked a cruise for July and starting to try and lose weight. I went to the doctor's office today and was 139.4 lbs. It may not sound a lot, but I'm barely over 5" tall. I'm hoping to get to 115.

all I know is cortadito in spanish means cut in small pieces ..
It's called that because it's coffee "cut" with milk.

Go to the front desk and ask about the cooking classes.... best $29 I've ever spent! :o

Mariner Pin? I just got mine in the mail with my cruise documents and wondered.
We just got our docs for our second HAL cruise and there were no pins. Was it because we booked thru a consolidator?

I always release a few books on every cruise I take as part of BookCrossing.com and have had 3 or 4 journaled. Check out my BookCrossing shelf; I am Bookish-Angel over there.
I'm a bookcrosser also, but I've always just donated a book to their library. Where have you left books that have been picked up? I'll try that next time! :D

And finally....call me crazy, but I'm 29 years old and I LOVE my Harry Potter!
I'm 45 and borrowed my friend's (who is 50) book. :D

I like to read cruise-related books during a cruise. This is a list of what I have 'saved' for my next one:
Clarke, Anne Cabin 3003
Fairchild, Sally Ports of Call
Bain, Donald Murder on the QE2
Heller, Jane Princess Charming
Kling, Christine Surface Tension
Roberts, David Dangerous Sea
Skye, Christina Going Overboard
Of course, I have yet to read more than 1 book during a cruise. Too much fun!:p

I always try to read something related to the places we'll visit. Last Alaska cruise I read "The Angels will not Care" by John Straley. For the next cruise, I'm looking for a good biography of Sir Francis Drake.

I don't eat pork, but I like turkey bacon and chicken sausage. I don't eat a lot of it, though.
