Looking at our 2nd Celebrity cruise on the Equinox and wondering about choosing beverage package vs paying for coffee and the occasional drink.
Does Cafe al Bacio make frappes? I think my hubby loves those more than margaritas! Anyone with a recent drink menu/price list?

@ Ranchette ---
We were on island from about 11 - 3:30. I saw some people leaving earlier, and there were still quite a few there as we were leaving.

I was at LFK last week. Animals were back (lion, monkey, birds, goat, maybe others) but not Simba. Horses were available for riding in the water.

Just got back from LFK, so here's the good and bad from my perspective.
The bad: It took a long time to get there. After getting off the ship, we waited for the van driver for at least 30 minutes. Then waited at the restaurant to pay and for the ferry to get full enough to run over to the island.
We paid the extra $10 for snorkeling and had to go at certain times, since it's from a boat. The guide only kept us out there for 30 minutes.
The good: The animals are back. The food and drinks were good. The reef we snorkeled was AMAZING.

Can you tell me about coffee options on board Navigator? We've been on Princess for the last few years but are returning to RCCL this summer. We love International Cafe on Princess, buying a coffee card and enjoying frappes and other specialty coffees. Anyone know if there is something similar here?

Highlights for us, from our visit earlier this month: Netto Badene boat tour, Town Hall, walking the Stroget, the free walking tour from Town Hall at 11am, and the Ny Carlsburg Glyptotek art museum.
We took the train (30 min) out to Roskilde to see the Viking Ship Museum - REALLY recommend! Could have spent all day there, but can be done in an afternoon.

Was privileged to be in St Petersburg with ALLA's Grand Tour earlier this month, and will share my thoughts:
Loved both the Peterhof fountains (didn't go inside) and Catherine's Palace. Church of the Spilled Blood was our favorite, but loved all the churches.
Could have done without: canal boat tour and Yusopov palace. I didn't know the Yusopov story before going there, and it was difficult to understand the history from the narration. Another thing: after seeing all the grand and really old architecture, it was very disappointing to see this stuff from 1900!

I wrote the Oslo Pass folks for some info and this is what I received on 6/29
Hello, Thanks for contacting us.
The Tourist Information office by the Cruise Terminal will not be operating in 2014. The only Tourist Information office in Oslo is located by the City Hall. We are open from 9 am to 6 pm. Our office is located approx. 5-10 min. walking distance from the Cruise Terminal.
Unfortunately we cannot offer discounts for cruise passengers anymore.
Here: http://www.visitoslo.com/en/activities-and-attractions/oslo-pass/ you can find prices and advantages of the Oslo Pass. The Oslo Pass is anyway a good deal to visit attractions and use public transport tin Oslo, even at full price.
We wish you a nice stay in Oslo!

We will be on Princess, tendering in to Nynashamn. Is there a small boat cruise/ferry option from there into Stockholm (archipelago cruising)?

We were on Caribbean Princess in January 2014 when a passenger slipped on the deck by the Lido bar, went down hard, hitting his face on the deck and causing his glasses to gash his face pretty badly, and teeth to cut up his mouth -- lots of blood. He was unresponsive for several minutes, but still breathing and had a pulse. NO ONE from the crew initially responded to this young man's situation. Passenger bystanders went to him, checked him out, turned him on side, stayed with him, tried to find his companions, etc. The bar staff, the entertainment staff, any other staff passing by --- none of them did anything.
My expectation was that ship staff should assume leadership in a medical situation. Even if they don't know CPR, they should get involved and act like they care. Someone must have called the infirmary, because about 15 minutes later, what appeared to be a nurse and orderly appeared with a wheelchair. They did a quick check of him, then loaded him up and took him presumably to the infirmary.

We spent 4 land-based days in Rhodes and didn't run out of things to do. Okay we did rent a car one day to drive around the island, but my point is that Rhodes is a fascinating walled city in itself. Lots of cobbles lanes to walk through, good food, good shopping, easy to find your way around yourself. 2.5 miles of walls, walk around and check out all 11 entry gates. The Palace of the Grand Master has wonderful mosaic! The Street of Knights is fascinating. There's a Starbucks if you need a taste of USA and Elli Beach (rocky) is right in town.
