Has anyone tried the escape room on the Norwegian Escape? I am going on August 12, and am intrigued by this. Can you join a group if you are alone in the escape room?

I have heard from several that some of the friendliest crew members on NCL are the Washy Washy Happy Happy team.

Would it be considered rude or inappropriate to give them an extra tip? It seems that they can put the grumpiest or snobbiest cruisers in a great mood from all reports.

Are prices at the shops fairly reasonable, or are prices hiked up obnoxiously?

Do you know if solo travelers who are not staying in solo studios can participate in solo activities?

I am trying to choose between a cruise on Celebrity Summit, Norwegian Escape, and Royal Caribbean Allure/Oasis of the Seas, and am looking at vacationing in July. The trip will be a respite trip, as I am a caregiver to a parent with dementia, as well as teaching full time. I will be traveling alone, to clear the head.

I am looking for a trip with great food, lack of overly obnoxious crowds, great activities onboard, and I would prefer not to be "nickel-and-dimed".

I sailed once before on Carnival Legend, and had a great experience.

Any suggestions one way or the other would be appreciated, as well as any ideas that I had not thought to ask.

I am booking a trip on the Summit based upon this review. I was torn between this one and two others (Norwegian Escape and RC Oasis). Your description was the selling point. Thanks for helping me decide, and God bless.
