  1. I agree with a lot of the points chefchick said. Royal Caribbean does offer a discount for solo cruisers after they get 340 cruise points. I will say that NCL on their larger ships with solo cabins can be an easy experience for the first time solo traveler. Dinner is set up as well as shows with others that are also solo. At least on the NCL Epic which I was on. I feel that Royal and Celebrity may offer solo get togethers but have found that these will often occur in the same place as another event is occurring. Holland America did a great job on a cruise I was traveling solo in Europe. They had several get togethers with a host and bought the first round. Not sure if this typical but I met some amazing woman that were so well traveled.

Everyone on Anthem over 18  ex UK has to be fully vaccinated.  Cruises are in UK waters only with no foreign stops. With other safety measures I can't see how they are anymore dangerous than any other domestic holiday.

Though rates are going up due the delta variant which is more transmissible,  deaths are static and hospitalizations are not so severe due its mainly younger people.  Yesterday they opened up 25 to 30 age group and had a million bookings for jabs in one day.  We are already at 60% with at least one dose, hopefully by the end of summer everyone who wants vaccines will be fully protected.

Govt announcement on Monday for the next stage in opening up .

Thank you so much for the update!!

  3. I have the same question and am not as concerned with the cancellation/interruption. I normally travel very often so did purchase a year long policy from Travel Guard. I had searched for a long time for a good policy that would cover  medical/evacuation. Alliance also has a plan. I would love to learn more about the various options and exclusions that are out there.

  4. It has been a while since I cruised with Celebrity. It seems there are more specials going on than in the past. In effect, any share holder benefit then becomes null and void. The onboard credit cannot be combined with ANY promotion or discount. In the past, I always received it.

I am curious as to what others have experienced with this if you are a shareholder?

    Just a pretend benefit?

  5. I am interested in cruising on the Gemini or Virgo and cannot find a tour operator ie., cruise.com, and many more that list or book this cruise line. 1. Who can book this in the USA and is knowledgeable with flights and transfers. 2. Has anyone booked this with a tour operator that combined this cruise with a land tour of China? Which tour operator did you use?

Thanks for any help or leads:)
