  1. hi to all apologies to drag this up again, is this a viable place to park for a 10 night cruise we go December 2022. do you pay on arrival or when you leave. Anybody experience any damage to their vehicle. TIA

  2. I must admit I take 2hours doing my laundry on the last day as I am back to work the next day and it is usually raining and I don't want it hanging around the house plus my live at home adult kids boys and a lazy daughter in law have forgotten how to use the washing machine.

  3. When you arrive at Genoa Airport you will collect your hold luggage from the carousel and then take it outside to the lorry that will transport it to the ship. You keep your hand luggage with you and that goes in the luggage compartment of the coach that will take you to the ship. Genoa is a very small airport. There won't be time for you to stop and go to any shops. It took a bit of time to check us all in once we got to the ship and as far as I remember there aren't any shops near the terminal. Why don't you get your Prosecco at Gatwick Duty Free before flying. We liked the fact that the luggage allowance with BA was much more generous than either Thomas Cook or Thomson - hand luggage you can take a small cabin bag which can weigh up to 25kg as long as you can lift it into the overhead compartment. The measurements of the cabin bag are on the BA website.

We flew into Genoa to join Oceana in May and the good news is that on the home journey you don't have to take your hold luggage to the airport. We put it outside the cabin the night before as is done in the Caribbean and we didn't see it again until we got to Gatwick. You do the immigration bit on board the ship and when you get to Genoa Airport it's straight through security and wait in the quite small Departure Lounge - you can get drinks etc. there. There's not miles to walk like there is at Gatwick. It was all done very smoothly.

On our Bournemouth to Genoa flight for our cruise the hold luggage is checked in at Bournemouth and we get it outside our cabin on arrival to the ship.

  4. ok thank you for the replies I had too book early do to my hubbies job this cruise was the only one to fall in the dates available to us and wanting fly from bournemouth. I am well aware of the policy of shops i am a shop manager myself.

Thank you to PRINCESSTHE BEST for the support as I thought Major Toms reply was a little sarcastic.

It was only a question my second cruise and my first select cruise.

  5. ok thank you for your replies, for your loyalty i think P&O should give you some more obc if the price drops, I had to book early due to my husbands work and school holidays. I will wait next time but given my luck the price will go up.

  6. Hi

we are going on our first fly cruise soon flying from Bournemouth to Genoa, I have read that the cases go straight to the cabins from the plane, my question is do we go through the airport to the coaches or are the coaches airside when we get off the plane. Thanks in advance to those who take the time to reply.

    regards,

    Michelle.

  7. Hi does anybody know what are the opening hours are for the call centre please.

I am wanting to get a disability form emailed to complete and send back but I am having no luck getting through to the call centre.

    Regards,

    michelle.

  8. Hi Kruzseeker we are flying from bournemouth to Genoa and sailing back to southampton, the plan is get a taxi from our home to bournemouth airport as it is such a small airport there is no premier inn etc on site even though there is a fair few international flights mostly mornings. If it was a 4hr check in then we would have to find a hotel due to the early start but as it will be 2hrs we can leave 7.20am. Return is easy taxi from the port and train back to weymouth.
Thank you for your help and advise.
  9. Morning two questions, I have asked the first one on the facebook page but no firm answer. We are flying from Bournemouth to Genoa to the Oceana in October, how early do you have to check in is it 2hrs or 4hrs, as it seems some airports it is 4hrs , some of you may have done this flight so might be able to advise.
Second question our passports include our middle names but the flight details do not show this will this be an issue.
thanks in advance for any help.
    regards,
    Michelle
