  1. Hello,

I am not an experienced cruiser, so I need some advice and in the past this forum was very helpful, so I hope this time also :D.

We've sailed once with NCL Epic (2014) and once with Celebrity Equinox (2016).

I live in Belgium and there is an interesting sale going on now, do you think that I need to book now or does Royal Carribean increased their prices before the promotion ? I am looking for a sailing next year december in the Caribbean.

So what is your advice ?

  2. A lot of the restaurants are only open for dinner.

But both Sunset Café and Calmos Café are on the waterfront open for lunch and serve lobster and other seafood. Service is laid back to say the least. Don't be in a hurry.

You might also want to experience the various lolos on the way into Grand Case. These are small local p[laces with great grilled items, usually what ever is fresh. Everyone has their favorites but any are worth the try. Seating is picnic tables and view can be limited at spots. If you're really hungry try Sky's the Limit.

Thank you for the ideas, it is for dinner that I am searching a restaurant.

  3. Hello, it is our first cruise with celebrity (before 1 cruise with NCL). This is an interesting thread because I also have lots of questions about the dress code.

Is it ok when my husband wears a shirt without coat/blazer with pants or jeans in the specialty restaurants and on "normal" evenings in the MDR ?

Is a shirt with long sleeves required or can he also wears shirts with short sleeves ?

  4. Hello Benny,

Looks delicious, we've never been to St Martin.

Do you know the name of the restaurant ?

    Thanks

Highly recommend going to Grand Case for lunch. Nothing like fresh grilled lobster with your feet in the sand. f2eb785209104628d9afcf457718a99c.jpgSt Martin is a small island so make sure to go to the Marigot Market before Grand Case. St Martin is our favorite island with wonderful food, beaches and people. Sunset Beach by the airport is another must see. 1db83bf59776e8a91be97d989a872054.jpg

  5. We've booked a custom jet ski tour (max 5/6 jetski's) with Ebanks Watersport.

We've chosen the stingray city and snorkel tour. The stop at Stingray City was amazing, we could hold a stingray and had enough time to look around and take photos. The stop for snorkeling was just ok, there wasn't much to see. But overall a great excursion, especially for our husbands who liked riding the jetskis.

  6. You better have a talk with you travel agent if you can't print your Edocs yet or haven't received your documents directly from them (the travel agent).

Because I've seen that others got there edocs yet, I've called our TA and they keeps telling me that NCL gives them 14 days before. I called NCL and they give no info because it is booked with a TA. Next time I book directly but it is first cruise so thought that TA was better ...

  7. Did you book directly with NCL? I have two cruises booked. One was booked directly with NCL and I can see what I paid for the cruise. The other was booked with a cruise website and I can only see what I've paid for the excursion that was booked directly with NCL. Both cruises are PIF.

No we've booked at a travel agent. I was just wondering because our cruise is 11/16/2014 and we did not receive our tickets.

  8. I don't like the holds on a credit card so it looks interesting for me to buy on-board credit. I've read that some of you bought on board credit. Are this the on-board credit certificates you can book in "my ncl - gifts and more" because it looks to me that this is a gift you buy for someone other than yourselve? Maybe a stupid question but it is the first cruise for us so it's all new.

  9. Hello,

When you take the UDP, can you go several times to the same restaurant or do you need to take each evening another restaurant ?

I know that there is no swimming pool or jacuzzi in the Posh Beach Club but is there something to cool off ? I've seen a review before that there would be a cascading waterfall but I am not sure because no one else mentioned it after.
