:mad:We are long time travelers with Vantage Travel. This past summer we took the Castles and Cathedrals tour on the Rhine River. The river became too shallow and a barge got stuck and they had to cancel the rest of the tour. We were offered to continue the tour as a bus tour - with 8 - 10 hours on a bus every day. We chose to come home. Vantage did the best they could in a difficult situation. They arranged for our flights home without any charge. It was the refund that disappointed us. They low balled the refund for every unused day - even though we had three days on the boat with virtually no activity they counted those. They offered us one thousand dollars toward a future Vantage tour. We felt this was grossly inadequate since we had planned the trip for over a year and it cost over $10,000 with air fare. We wrote and requested reconsideration and never heard from them. We will not travel with Vantage again. Very poor management and customer service. Ship was fine and the stops in Budapest and Vienna were delightful. Good food - The real test of a travel company is how they treat their guests when something goes wrong. Vantage just blew it .

Outstanding tour. Half the price of the same tour off the cruise. Pick it up right on the dock. Pay US cash at the end of the tour. Well worth it.
