April 2024 is still showing no cruises for the Glory and I still haven't received any emails regarding it. I called this morning and the rep looked through her ship announcements and saw nothing for the Glory. She reached out to someone else and they told her the sailings are sold out.  I really find that hard to believe. But she could only repeat the information she was given.

I was trying to look at excursions away from Carnival & the site I use doesn't list my April 2024 cruise for the Glory.  If they are going to cancel it, then they need to cancel it so people can make other arrangements.  If they are replacing Glory with another ship, then let those who are booked know now so they can make other arrangements if needed.  Very frustrating trying to plan something and hitting walls.

  2. We use Uber it’s fast and less expensive. I believe you would need UberX for your size group. I used to use Jiffy Jeff transportation. He is very friendly and accommodating. He drives a Mercedes Van. We only stopped using him because for only two of us it was costly.

  3. For 7 plus 10 bags (someone else packs like my wife  ) you'll need an UberXL (about $70+) and an UberX (about $35-40+). I would also check with Larry's Limos, Holland Limo and Go Airport for private transport options.

    Have a great cruise! :D

  4. Hello, I am wondering what other means of transport people have used from Port Canaveral to MIA? We are a family of 7, probably have around 10 pieces of luggage. We are using Super Shuttle from MIA to our hotel in FLL, but my understanding is that Super Shuttle doesn't have port access, so they wouldn't be able to pick us up when we arrive back in FLL.

We are currently set to use Carnivals shuttle from Port Everglades to MIA. Having used Carnival's shuttle service from Airport to Cruise terminal before, we completely understand that we are at mercy of "when we have enough people we will leave" rule. For some reason, now I am really concerned that if there are problems with debarkation & we have a 12 noon flight out of MIA, that we won't make our flight.

I don't need to be flogged for asking what I feel is a reasonable question, so if you can't be respectful of my question, please don't leave a comment.

    Any advice? TIA :D

  5. I probably go overboard (pun intended) and I put extra luggage tags inside all of our luggage checked and carry ons. If the tags get ripped off someone can still figure out who they belong to. On our last cruise about two days into our cruise the room strewards put a paper with a picture of some missing luggage in every room trying to locate it. I can’t imagine being without any of our luggage for more than 24 hours!

I do the same exact thing.....tags on the outside of all luggage (checked & carry-on), copies of tags inside all luggage!

  6. My friend and I had Cabana #6 last week on Princess Cays. There was a form in our cabin (which we had to return to the Shore Excursion Desk) asking us to confirm how many people would be using the Cabana. I believe there was a per person charge for more than four people. Having the Cabana was very nice. However, it was smaller than I thought it would be. In my opinion, six people inside the Cabana would be VERY tight, if not impossible. But, it is a place to put your stuff and it is air conditioned, which was great. As mentioned previously, there is a table and four chairs inside the Cabana. We brought a couple of the chairs outside as they were more comfortable for us than the loungers. Hope this helps.

Did you take towels from the ship or were there some in the cabana?

  7. Just an FYI - gift cards totaling $500 or more require a signature & will be delivered by UPS (I know because I ordered 5 $100 gift cards). I recieved a confirmation email from AARP informing me that they would need to be signed for. I suggest that you create a UPS account (free) and change your delivery to a UPS store where they will be held for one week (in case you or anyone over 18 isn't home to sign for them). You can make the change using the tracking # in your confirmation email from UPS.

I have also ordered smaller amounts that were left in my mail box & have received an email confirmation from AARP each time.
