    How safe are possessions while at the beach?

    There are many different kinds of waterproof bags that you can put your money, credit card and sea pass in. We have had a small aquapac for years that can hold all that plus a cell phone. It cost $20 and has a lanyard and a caribiner. We also have an underwater camera that we use, DSLR stays on the ship unless someone is not going to go swimming.

     

     

     

    To the OP, do not take all that stuff to the beach unless someone is going to be sitting with it. Invest in a waterproof bag that is big enough to carry what you can not do without.

    I have 2 waterproof hard shell containers. One for me and one for DH. I always carry my ID and cash on me when out of the country. Flip flops, ship towels...those things can be replaced.

    I've been using CC for many years as my goto resource leading up to all our cruises. To date, I have been on many cruises over the years.

     

    And we are as a family sailing on the Allure on Nov 6th. First time on an Oasis class ship. So, I finally said it's time to be social and contribute rather than just be a fly on the message board wall.

    Watching playoffs Liberty of the Seas

    I was on Freedom last April, and purchased VOOM with my D+ Discount and was able to stream TV and Sports on my iPad through my cable provider by way of their APP. In this case it was Charter.. Obviously I didn't spend all day watching TV while on a cruise, but when sitting in the Connoisseur's lounge smoking a fine cuban cigar (Pardagas Series D), it was an enjoyable distraction.

     

     

    Is there free wifi at the Galveston terminal by any chance? Because a cigar and football sounds great!

    Liberty Mystery Dinner Theater

    I loggeded into my cruise planner for our January, 2017 Liberty cruise and saw this was an option. Has anyone done this and could give their opinion? For $65 each, I really want it to be good! We are travelling with our two older teen sons and 9 year old daughter and I thought we'd let this be our one adults-only night! Would appreciate any input!

     

     

    We will be doing it October 16th aboard Liberty. If you don't get any good feedback before then I'll be glad to help. [emoji4]

    Hmm. I'll give it a shot. The app that you need should just say "Periscope" underneath it and nothing else.

     

    Click on it and hit the little people icon in the bottom right hand corner.

     

    Then hit the magnifying glass in the upper left hand corner. Type in "andrew_1720" where it says "search". His name should pop up as well as his avatar which is some terrible tshirt that says something about cruising (lol, sorry Andrew).

     

    Click his name and hit "follow". You will see he has about 79 recent videos in there already. Let me now if you get that far then we can give you some tips.

     

     

    Yorkvillian you ROCK!! Ok....got periscope on my phone (iPhone 6s) found Andrew....hit following. Great, now how do I get it on the iPad?

    Suite Perks!

    No flaming here.... We are booked in a GS on LOS in October. First time in a suite. Big treat for us....we saved long and hard for this one. I was disappointed about the suite sun deck also. I have chronic skin cancer and need to stay in the shade as much as possible. So I won't be able to use any of the loungers up there. [emoji853]

    I don't know about the "newer ship" rule...but we found we came out ahead using the points as cash against the cost of the cruise rather than companion fare because you can take advantage of the current "sale".
