I seem to recall a couple of years ago when they had a topic complaining about Princess.
Part of which was that San Pedro was too far away since they lived closer to San Diego.
It's all memorable.

Happy anniversary and sorry to hear about the luggage and noise. The only thing that I've found put me to sleep easily is a good old fashioned baseball game on the tv. Best sleep aid known to man (or woman). The cruise line, more than likely, will do something nice for you for your troubles. Good luck.

Fabulous review; thank you!

If you are a fan of quiche, it's quite good here.

Yes, my husband might get a shock with the inside. I’ve told him he needs to get used to it when I retire 😂😂. I’ll buy him a drink package, he’ll live
We've stayed in insides, and yes, they are tiny. The drink package helps but it drives the pricing way up. We've taken really nice balcony cabins without the drink package and survived just fine. Sometimes self restraint has it's benefits lol.

It's always 5 o'clock somewhere on a ship lol.

Unfortunately ,neither some HAL reps who answer the phone know that much .My TAs get so busy that I sincerely doubt they be watching for the new releases for us . Just being realistic .
Perhaps one day the cruise lines will send that information out to their regular customers by e-mails
I doubt they will chase you. It's up to you to be proactive.

I don't really see the big deal here. If you can carry your luggage, you just leave with the first group. I' ve never had an issue and never needed the Club Orange assist for priority.

it's all what you make of it . My beloved doesn't want to aail on any other ships! Dutch cafe is his fave and the overall lightness and brightness od the ships is a bonus. Heck, we aren't that hard to please. We regularly go into very shaky neighborhoods to get the best Asian food possible. Go with an open mind....only you can set yourself up for disappointment. Enjoy, really.

There has been continuous disappointment on this board concerning music and entertainment on HAL ships. Well, maybe people should try different lines after all.
I don't expect a whole lot in that arena, and most people read enough here to know that they should have low expectations. I sail for the itinerary and all else is a bonus, honestly. If the food is great, I'm happy, and if my stateroom is quiet, well, even better. Seems prices on everything are through the roof and I'm personally waiting to see if there is change after this election year.

The new libraries are great! There are many books, mostly new and popular sorts of things. I think that picture was just to show the ONE book that was about Alaska. I will say that if you want a book, go to the library early. I saw people walking out with four and five books. It left the shelves sort of bare in some areas.
I hate to be like the police, but wouldn't it be nice if people would limit themselves to one or two books to borrow rather than four or five? It's like anything else, the more you take, the less for others.

Saving money on a cabin is just not worth it sometimes. To me, a good quiet night sleep is priceless if you have any doubts about the cabin, just don't do it.

Just because someone wants to use their beverage package on the last morning doesn't mean they plan to do tequila shots at 7 am. They might just want to grab a specialty coffee, or enjoy a cappuccino or *gasp* a mimosa with breakfast in the dining room.
I live in the Seattle area, so when I cruise out to Seattle to Alaska, I'm not in a hurry to get off the ship. I've had disembarkation times around 9 am, and my long travel home is about 40 minutes. I like to have a leisurely breakfast before disembarking, preferably with one last specialty coffee.
Got it. Although tequila shots do sound like fun. Haha

Can you imagine having the time to go to a bar to get a drink the day of disembarkation? Not to mention the fun of lethargy for the long travel day ahead lol.

We've loved them. Usually a more serious crowd and well traveled. People are accustomed to traveling alot, so there is a huge difference on these adventures. Just to clarify, this is not the Caribbean crowd, not that there's anything wrong with that lol! Ship is pretty quiet after 9 P.M.

We used to rent them, but I find them hot with no breeze. Plus, they seem to set them up on a sloping hill of sand, so your chairs are never comfortable. I'll go find some spot somewhere down the line with a bit of shade. Works out well

This was what happened on our cruise in September...
may have been the same cruise (if you were on the Sep. 3 cruise from Montreal that missed St. Anthony due to weather and Bar Harbor due to an as-yet unsatisfactorily explained scheduled maintenance delay...yes, I am STILL bitter about that).
Don't be bitter. Shortens your life. Sometimes you just can't change things. Maybe on your next cruise, you can request extra tiles. I've done that. Now, I am about to remodel a bathroom and tile a wall with these tiles. I have so many it's ridiculous. Hang in there and maybe you'll be luckier on your next cruise, if there is one.

You mentioned that it's hard to get a table in the Lido and that you breakfast by the indoor pool. I do too, since it's generally more serene and much quieter. Lido can be chaotic.

HAL PCC Question
in Holland America Line
Posted
My PCC is terrific, but had 3 others in quick succession. Covid layoffs and so on. I'm lucky now but it was crazy for awhile.
