We’ve stayed at Banks Mansion every time we’re in Amsterdam.  Great hotel in a wonderful location.

Thank you for this suggestion! Looks awesome and we are going to book it for our stay in July.  What is the easiest way to get from the cruise port to the hotel.  There are 4 of us with luggage.  Thanks again!!

  2. As cruise beginners, upcoming cruise will be our second, one issue we had was that our Sea Pass kept getting demagnetized , and we ended up having to replace several times. Help

    We ended up using lanyards.

I have only had one purse that has demagnetized my seapass card (it had a magnetic closure) .. After I figured that out, I no longer use that purse and I haven't had a problem since.

  3. Live two doors down from someone and don't know we're going on the same cruise, different dates.. and don't know we're fellow CC members!!!

Thanks for the review, and let's get together for a drink soon and for my personal review!! :) I want to hear more about what you did in Bermuda :D

  4. I've tried and tried and I've even called Royal Caribbean but I cannot find the actual product they use for their "Keratin Express" treatment. Does anyone know, or know how I could find out??

I got my very first Keratin Treatment on RCI Independence of the Seas last November (Thanksgiving). It was absolutely amazing!!! I've never had my hair behave so nicely.

Since then I've had two keratin treatments on land and neither are anything to write home about. The first one on land I blamed on the stylist being a novice at keratin, the second (more experienced stylist) is better, but still not what I got on Royal.

Honestly, how bizarre is this that I got the best treatment on a cruise :p Does this work as an excuse to cruise again? "Honey, it's time for my next Keratin..."

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

  6. I only do this with my husbands clothes - but it works great... Lay everything on top of one another (on the bed) biggest on the bottom (like his suit), smallest shirt (whatever) on the top. Then lay socks, underwear (other things the don't wrinkle) on top again.. Then kind of fold the sleeves in, and make one big fold of the whole pile around the socks, etc. In theory, you are "creasing" nothing. I've had great luck with that. I leave cheap hangers on too - makes unpacking one swift step and you're done.... well for him at least :)

  7. You bought the Ultimate Package for $55 per night. You will be charged $63.25 per night. (this is actually LESS than the old price of $65 per night)

Any additional tips are completely at your discretion.

This is really confusing me... We're considering the Premium package. I just went to Royal Caribbean's page and read this: s.gif

Q: Are gratuities included in the all-inclusive beverage packages purchase price?

A: A service charge of 15% has already been included in the purchase price. You will not have to pay additional gratuities unless you desire to do so.

So to me - this means the gratuity is already included in the $55/day price?? Am I missing something??

  8. We've never done the drink package, but are considering it for our upcoming trip in November.

We're thinking about the $55 Premium package.. does it include the beverages listed in the lower packages?? Specifically the Premium coffees?? That could push me over the edge, if I consider not just alcohol, but soda, water and I hope coffee is included. I've looked, but just can't get that definitive answer anywhere - so I figured I would go to the pros! :p

  9. Does anyone know if they pro-rate the packages? We're considering buying it, but our next cruise is to Bermuda and we'll be out and about for a good part of 3 days, so we were thinking of just buying it the last day at port and the remaining two days at sea?? I know they pro-rate the soda package - so I was just wondering..

I know the classic package is a good deal for my hubby, but I don't know if I'd be getting my money's worth with the premium (I don't like beer so I have to go premium).
