I've posted this in another thread I'm sure - I don't know how much less expensive other providers are for the COVID insurance but what I can tell you is that with the MSC option you will be looked after. Hotels for isolation, repatriation flights, taxis both in the country you are isolating in and when you arrive home. And, @ €25 per person it's not extortionate. Just my own experience.

We were on the Preziosa a few weeks ago and like bac513, it was pretty much a waste of money. It worked here and there, and was really only good for messaging.
A little tip - for the Norwegian Fjord cruise we were on recently, 3/4/5G worked for the majority of the trip, with a few exceptions of a couple of hours here and there. I think most of us in the EEA have decent roaming allowances, so once you're not going crazy streaming, your personal package should be more than ample.

Apologies for asking such a question but I cannot find the answer anywhere and it's not in my itinerary as far as I can see. Google gives me a few options! Sailing on the 10th July to the Fjords - if anyone is on the same cruise let me know and we can have a chat.
I found it on the MSC Website 🙂 two minutes after posting this. Funnily, I never thought of looking there! Again, anyone travelling on the same cruise get in touch!

Hi, booked to go on MSC Fantasia in August and would like any advice with what are the best excursions with MSC or which ones to do yourself?
Itinerary
Naples, Messina, Valleta, Palma De Mallorca, Barcelona & Marseille.
Also we have booked the Allegrissimo Package and was wondering what the Draught Beer was on board and what ice cream was included i.e all flavours or limited to Vanilla/Chocolate.
Any tips or help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Mark
Excursions-I can't help as we did our own.
Allegrissimo- Heineken and I think an English bitter on draught. There was more but I cannot remember exactly what. There are menus available and I'll try to link one here later.
Ice Cream-Again on Allegrissimo but was not limited to Vanilla or Choc. Came in small tubs.

Still here and enjoying it all! Had a new addition to the family last week-and the weeks before were mayhem!

10031 is an INSIDE cabin, so no balcony
Perhaps 10031 is a typo
Sorry Pete, I'm not sure where I got that number from-it's 10028. Thanks
-
Pete, I was looking at moving to cabin 10021 does that have a better balcony than 10015?
Thanks
Jeff
Interested in this as we have pre-booked 10031!

The Irish website is back running as normal. How is it for other sites?

The Irish website has been down since at least Saturday for booking. All other parts seem to work okay.

Enjoying the review Stef.
I'm not sure if it's a good thing but this year we had planned to go to Ukraine in September to visit the in-laws. Once we started reading this review we realised how much we loved the Armonia and MSC and our plans have changed. The in-laws can come to us-we are going cruising!
On the disco-I ventured up on two occasions but it was empty also (thankfully!)

I'm a recreational smoker these days so loved this place. To be able to have a cigarette with a pint indoors was a real blast from the past but only when the place was quiet. Even as a smoker it got overwhelming in the evenings.
I definitely think that this place is off limits to non-smokers and it's not fair.
That said, it was a super bar and I had many a curious conversation in the evenings there!
I tried a few of the snacks during the week and was impressed enough.
I remember the barman-Mario, a really nice happy guy. :)

Thanks for that Stef,
I also thought the staff were amazing with one or two exceptions! DW being Ukrainian gave her an opportunity to speak with some of the girls in her native tongue-they do not have an easy life. Any we spoke too had young families at home. To do what they do and manage to smile all day, is an amazing talent.
Looking forward to all the pictures-I am going to root out my receipts to see if the staff you mentioned were on our cruise :)
Receipts had been shamefully stored away since Xmas-I sometimes rather not know how much I imbibed :D

Would love to see some pictures of the lovely staff that were there. They really went out of their way to make the whole experience for 1st time cruisers amazing.
We booked a balcony cabin but got upgraded (I think) to a balcony suite. Much the same to be honest but a little bigger. And no shower curtain :)

Looking forward to this review Stef. We were on the Armonia in December and absolutely loved it.

I just created an account and only the info needed was name, email and date of birth. When I logged in my MSC Club info and points were already there.
:D

We just left it today. I will write a review as soon as I get home on the 23rd as it's difficult on the phone. But I will say we really enjoyed it and as 1st time cruisers were very impressed.

It wasn't a cruise but I remember a few years ago on the Ukranian border with Poland on an overnight train being woken up to passport/customs control.
I was over the limit (4 cartons) on cigarettes and when asked if I had anything to declare said yes and showed to the customs girl. She took them all even my supposed allowance.
Only to nicely return them with a wink after 30 minutes and instructions to keep it to myself (previous conversation never happened).
Be honest is the best policy in my opinion.

We will be in Tenerife on the 8th and flying home 22nd. Cruising from 12th-19th.
Need decent affordable accommodation!
-
We booked this last week (Well we are sailing from Santa Cruz but prices are similar) for €359-We took a balcony upgrade bringing total cost to 1038 for the two of us.
I looked at many other sites including MSC sister sites TA etc and could not beat this.
I have no idea how to post a pic here so I will link to it instead.

Has MSC dropped their covid insurance requirement?

I booked through a travel agent (something scanner, you know the one) and it was an additional cost from what I remember. I'll find the company and post to you when I get home (on mobile right now)
