We brought granola bars on with no problem last time.

We didn't go to any of the shows, but we did try the zipline. It was a lot of fun!
Have fun on your cruise :)

Sorry, I didn't go through the 9 pages of replies to this.
This is more of a management problem than a problem with those asking for that 10. Most customer service/sales jobs need to receive a 10 because anything less can be a reason for a dock in pay or a reason to lose their job. I know someone who would have to pay $100 to his company whenever he received a score of 9 or less.

Yes, the cabins have safes. I will say that they are usually very small. Usually when at a hotel I can fit my Mac Air into the safe but on the Allure of the Seas, I could not.

Great review! We went on the Allure a few weeks ago, and your pictures are already making me miss it.

Have fun on your cruise!

With the packages, you can go to a bar, get a drink and take it to your cabin
Yes, I know that. I'm just saying that at times we like to be lazy and have room service with drinks included :)
I should also say that we only spent about $70 on our whole cruise on alcohol. On our Royal Caribbean cruise, I think we would have had to drink probably 5 to 10 drinks a day (mix of beer and liquor) for it to be worthwhile, and I just knew we wouldn't do that for 7 days straight.

1) Third party excursions are usually cheaper. However, cruise line excursions are usually guarded against bad weather and if your excursion runs late (the cruise ship won't leave you).
2) If you don't choose any excursions, you can usually roam around the port or stay on the ships.
3) You usually want to arrive a day or two beforehand just in case something does happen to your flight.
4) Meals are still provided on port days on the cruise ship.

I'm not sure what the speed was when we cruised a few weeks ago, but we found the internet surprisingly faster than we were told. We loaded pages with no problems and uploaded pictures quickly.

Hey! I bought the unlimited wifi package as well when I cruised a few weeks ago. You should just be able to turn Data Roaming off under your settings.

We were told it's 2 750ml bottles of wine per room. We brought 2 1500 ml bottles of wine and they let us bring it anyways but they said we should just know for next time.

We didn't find it worthwhile so we didn't get it. We like to have drinks in the room, and that isn't included so we knew we wouldn't get our money's worth.

I just kept mine in my small purse or in my pocket.

I'm boring and I like a yummy strawberry daiquiri! :)

We went to Chops and really loved it. Steak was great and we had the scallops too. YUMMM!

I brought a corkscrew with my luggage earlier this month. They took it out of my suitcase and asked the other workers if it was all right. They ended up saying it was okay to bring, but it didn't seem like the rule was very clear. I think they just want to make sure it is just a corkscrew and that there is not a sharp blade attached to it (some have a knife).

We will be there in early September with two toddlers, 3 and 1 . I am very worried since the CDC has posted alerts for Haiti. Did you notice any Mosquitos at Labadee? Did RCI issue any warnings?
We have reserved a beach cabana at Nellie's beach.
Any info would be much appreciated.
Hmm I don't think there were any warnings, at least none that I noticed.

We just got off the Allure on Sunday. Even though there were thousands of people, we never really noticed it. The only time we noticed the amount of people was when we first got there and went through security, other then that, it was great!

You just use your SeaPass card when buying anything and everything on the cruise ship.
We didn't find it worthwhile to buy the drink package. We normally drink a decent amount when we go out, but usually don't drink as much on vacations so we didn't buy it. I think we spent maybe $75 the whole 7 days altogether for drinks for both of us.
-
Yes! This is where we stored our three suitcases with no problem.

You may be able to save more time by asking your waiter to have your food ready for you when you arrive (placing your order the night before). I think someone sitting next to us did this and they were always in and out quickly.

I recently created a blog post about this. You can see it in my signature or here.
We recently went on a cruise (got back on Sunday!), and saved money by: bringing two bottles of wine on (Royal Caribbean lets you do that); checking the menus before we went somewhere; eating mainly in the included restaurants; and more.

I think this is a tough question to answer. We brought $600 in cash and ended up using about $300.

We always unpack right away. I hate wrinkles so I always hang everything up right away.
Don't bring your own washing machine!

This is hilarious. Everyone brings thousands of pounds of appliances on vacation, right? :)
