  1. My hubby to be and I called during the last price drop and were upgraded from a guarantee balcony to a BB Balcony, room 8774. On the map there is a white space in front of these couple rooms. The lady we called at Norwegian assured us that the 3 balconies are actually lengthened here, but I read one thread where someone asked a similar question, and another replied that they are not, but it doesn't sound like they actually had stayed in one. Does anyone know for sure??? Its hard to tell in the pictures of the ship. Thanks!

  2. I actually spoke to a representative the other day. Being that you are a guarantee room, if the run out of inside rooms, they may upgrade you for free to the next category. If the next category up drops below what you paid, you can also call and they will move you to the equal priced room, or "upgrade". When I asked about upsells, she said they occur right before the cruise, and who they call is random. She said if they do call, and you don't' answer, they move to the next person. Their financial revenue department is the one who makes decisions on the number and price of the upsells, so it will very greatly by the number and types of rooms already booked. Hopefully, you will be one of the lucky ones who gets called by the "upgrade" fairy! :)

  3. Its 79 pp for the week, or its 299 for the cabana for 2 people (150 pp). If you get the cabana, you get a 100 OBC which is supposed to be used in the Vibe only, but I've read from other posts that they don't really enforce it. My husband and I keep going back and forth about the cabanas. I would love the privacy, but I read that it can get hot since the sides block the breeze, and that certain times during the day the cover doesn't really provide shade, which is the main reason we are looking at the vibe, guaranteed shade! I wish the vibe would sell day passes at the beginning of each day cause I've heard some say that the Haven is awesome and almost no kids, and then others where parents were leaving the kids in the Haven. Must really depends on who is in the Haven that week. It would be nice to scope out the cruise before commiting.

  4. Hi all,

My husband and I are going on our first cruise August 16th and would love to try to get Vibe passes, as I'm on medication that makes me burn easily and I read that vibe has big shade umbrellas you don't have to fight over!;) My questions are:

    1. A lot of the reports about when you shoudl arrive are from April-May, so anyone traveling this summer June/July, how early did you arrive at the port to get the passes? Is 830 overkill?

    2. Where do you enter on the ship? I know its deck seven, but where is guest services in relation to where you board? What's the fastest way there?

    3. Do you get your boarding pass group when you check-in? Will checking wine slow down the check-in process and get a later boarding group?

We are so excited to be traveling on the getaway! After a disastrous Italian honeymoon (hubby got shingles, canceled car rental, ect.) we are looking forward to this low stress second honeymoon! :D
