  1. When I was there last year I never saw a single child

Mind if I ask what month you sailed? Someone who just came off said there were kids there all the time. Again I terribly mind, but WAS looking forward to an adults only and therefore less crowded pool/lounge area.

  2. A quick search didn't find an answer to this specific question for this ship so I figured I'd start a thread for input. What has peoples recent experiences been on the pride serenity deck? I know by the book it's adults only, but I'm hearing they really don't follow that. Cruising Sept 13, and wondering if they're more lax during kids summer, but apply when they go back to school? not that I mind kids at all, just wondering if Serenity, if truely adults only, might be less crowded. TIA.

  3. There is only one outlet by the vanity area for plugging in your electronics. We use a 3-outlet travel outlet by Belkin.

We'll be on the pride in Sept, and based on what I've read, these were the most highly recommended power strips. Actually bought two to bring along. Nice and small. No cord to get tangled, and has USB outlets as well.

  4. Also, some ships have category 4k. We just booked one b/c we're told it's a good deal. Basically an oceanview with french doors that you can open. But no balcony (although they are setup inside like a balcony). The drawback is the view is obstructed b/c it's behind lifeboats. If you grab one early enough, try to pick one between life boats. then you get some view. For us it was only $50 than an interior b/c we booked so far in advance.

  5. What is it like driving and parking at the port? I am only a couple hours away, so i'm planning on driving in the day of my cruise. Is there a line to wait in if they're not ready to take cars yet? Or is there some place close by to the port that we could drive to and wait? I plan on being there early. Any suggestions on what time I should try to be there by?

I'll be cruising out of baltimore in sept. And please someone tell me if any of the info I've found is off base. But a train for us, from Philly would be at least $80 each way. And I figure a taxi from the station would be another $20. We've called shuttle services and most are in the $300 range, one way. So we've determined our cheapest option is driving and parking. Figured $20-30 for gas roundtrip. And I believe the two tolls are the bridge and the MD/DE border. Both $4 each way for a total of 16. Parking at the pier I've heard is quite easy and close to the ship. It's $15 a day. So it would be around $140-150 total to drive down and park, including gas and tolls.

  6. Wonder if you can answer two simple questions for me? On your cruise when were the formal nights? And do they do a sail away party? If so when does that start. Yes, it's probably on here somewhere but I can't seem to find a recent answer. Thanks in advance.

  7. Where can I find a list of who the operators are for the cruiseline sponsored excursions? I've read about booking your own, etc. but some ports seem rather small, and the operators I find have similar excursions with very similar descriptions. Makes me think maybe they are the same operator.
