I am in the same category (suite and $1000) and while I am not booking anything now so I can not say for sure, in the past the second person in the room is ALWAYS given the same drink offer I am given. Whether that be free drinks in the casino or free drinks anywhere on the boat...whatever I got, my companion also got.
I would bet you anything that your companion will get free drinks and if not, if you ask the casino host, it will done happily. Ask and you shall receive

Does he post these monthly? I sail in September.
Yes he posts the movies monthly on his facebook page. I have noticed that there does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to when he posts the updated list though....sometimes it is a few days before the beginning of the next month, sometimes a week before the month begins and this month he posted it two weeks before the beginning of the next month.

I live in New York and cruise out of there all the time. If I might suggest, and of course feel free to disregard, but being that this is your first time sailing out of New York I would suggest that you watch the sail away from a place on the boat where you can see both sides....such as the far aft of the Splendor. I have seen it many times but I am still in absolute awe when the Freedom Tower comes into view. It is a sight that just causes goosebumps, every time. You can also get a great view of the Statue of Liberty from this location as well.
Whatever you decide to do, I hope you enjoy you sail away!!!

I sailed on the Pride for the first time at the beginning of April and I will never sail on that ship again. 20 years of cruising and it was the first and only time I ever got sea sick. The boat was constantly vibrating and shaking, it was an ever present annoyance that you just couldn't shake;) I just gave up eating in the main dining room all together because the vibrating was the worst there. Happily I did not gain an ounce on the trip so that made me very happy :) It was the first time on a cruise that I didnt leave wanting more...I was more than happy to be heading home.
That being said, the casino host, wait staff and room steward were amazing!! In their own way they all went above and beyond to give the kind of personalized service that makes a passenger feel special. Personally it just wasnt the ship for me but given the outstanding service I can see why some people love it.

I took a cruise back in October and I got the same 'free cruise' letter. I was so excited but then realized the flights would cost more then the cruise so I passed. Less then two months after that I received an offer for 17 different free cruises including Alaska, plus casino cash of $250 per cruise. I was mulling things over and I got yet another offer of free cruises leaving from all ports including my home port and summer cruises....this offer does not include the bonus casino cash. These offers come with priority boarding, free drinks in the casino from the minute the casino opens and other fun perks.
I dont know for sure that you will receive the same offer but I would recommend you wait and see. The first offer I got doesnt even have any limits and they said I could take all 17 cruises if I wanted to! I do not have the time off to take advantage but if you are an avade cruiser with free time you could really have yourself some fun for free!

Once you get to a certain level on Carnival (and a free suite and $1000 is at the top of the free offers), it IS ask and you shall receive. I have never paid for specialty diners, spa treatments, drinks,...you name it and they will HAPPILY make it happen. This is true whether you are on a free elite cruise or if you just used your free offer on a regular sailing.
Now if these offer are being given out to people randomly because of the pandemic or because of loyalty and not because of your casino play, then everything I said would not apply.
