I feel the same way. In contact with someone on the ship now shes saying impeccably clean and so much sanitization is on going. Very strict about temperature checks.

Are you on the Facebook group for the 15th sailing?    There is someone on the cruise doing a B2B (I believe) and that’s part of the reason we’re still going is because of her reports.   RCL is trying to do as much as they can to keep everyone safe it sounds like.

having the work time in case of quarantine is nice, I have the time off also, but I was speaking more of spending the time on the ship in quarantine, it not like you can wander around the ship. you are confined mostly to your stateroom. Even in a loft suite i do not want to spend time cooped up in there

I had read somewhere (not confirmed of course) that RCL will only be doing room quarantines if the case arises.   Of course who knows what would happen if the US said it wouldn’t accept it back.   I just have a hard time accepting that our ship would just happen to be first RCL ship this happens to out of how many that sail everyday.  That said, we are packing a bit differently just in case.  A couple more books, my daughter is bringing an extra sketchbook and drawing stuff.   We have a balcony so we get some fresh air at least.

  3. We are still going.  Early 40s,  healthy-ish, job with quarantine provisions if necessary which I don’t think will be an issue.   A friend just came back from a Caribbean cruise with RCL as well and said it’s the safest she’s ever felt on a ship with all the extra precautions.

  4. I feel your pain.   We are booked on the Oasis next March (yes Spring Break makes it so much worse).   We are flying from Vancouver to Miami, and my flights to Copenhagen were cheaper than it is for me to fly to Miami.   I managed to find a fairly decent deal on one way airfare out of Seattle so I did that but then factoring in the hotel the night before the flight to Miami, the hotel the night before the cruise (I too would love to know where I can get a $100 a night hotel in Miami as the one I have currently booked is $250) then the cruise.    Really really REALLY starts to add up fast.    I had a mild panic attack in the bathroom this morning after I calculated it.     I just have to remember its great memories for my daughter....right?

Hope you have a great trip!

  5. I’m sorry if this has been asked and answered many time overs,  I went back a few pages and haven’t found an answer.   We are looking at the 9 Day Baltic Cruise from Copenhagen and the quoted airfare is actually quite good from Vancouver.   Are we able to arrive earlier than the day before with these flights?    We were hoping to go over 3 days prior and do a bit of travelling.

    Thanks for the help everyone!

  6. Just booked my first solo cruise.   It's a long way out, Oct 2020 but I am still excited.    5 day Pacific Coastal on NCL Joy from Vancouver to Los Angeles.    Married with kiddo but the thought of some me time just thrills me.
