  1. Has anyone done the Carnival post-cruise excursion that ultimately drops you at the airport?  I know they will hold your luggage for you, but do they drop you off in downtown (French Quarter NOLA)?  I assumed they did, let you wander around for a few hours, then took you to the airport.  I just read a review on the Carnival website where the writer said they had to walk from the port to the French Quarter. Is this true?  Do they only transport you from downtown to the airport?

    Would appreciate any information

  2. Anyone have any suggestions for excursions for seniors?  We are 2 couples in our 60's and 70's so things like cave tubing, zip lining etc. are not for us.  The husbands have some limited mobility.  They can walk short distances but aren't able to go for long stretches.  We don't want to sit at the beach.  What other options are there?

  3. We will be visiting Cozumel on the Norwegian Escape in early November. We have rented a mobility scooter for the week and wanted to know if others have been able to use the scooter while in port. Can we take it into town? If we want to take a taxi somewhere, are there taxis that will accommodate the scooter? We are not interested in any planned excursions or tours, we just want to explore the town on our own. Any advice from folks who have used scooters in Cozumel is greatly appreciated.

  4. I've searched some other threads, but I'm still not real clear - where is it OK to smoke cigars on the Oasis?

Someone posted this statement from the Compass ""Designated outdoor smoking areas are located on the port side of deck 15 and 16. Pool bar port side will be available from 700pm onwards for any cigar smokers."

Can cigar smokers smoke anytime on Decks 15 and 16? Is the pool bar on a different deck and that's why it's only in the evening? Is all cigar smoking restricted until after 7 pm?

    Could someone please clarify?

    Thanks!

  5. I'm researching the Saona excursions from both Seavis and Pro Excursions. If I'm looking at their websites correctly Seavis is charging $65 and Pro X is $99.

Can anyone tell me what the differences are? Most of the reviews I have read say they are very similar so I'm trying to figure out why Pro X is more expensive and what we would get for the additional $$

    Thanks!

  6. We will be in Halifax and Saint John the first week of September. I have arranged rental cars for both ports and now I am trying to figure out what would be a good itinerary for each day. We prefer sightseeing types of things - we are a bit older so nothing very physically demanding. We can walk around but no rock climbing or hiking for us! We also like good food :)

I've searched the boards a bit but haven't been able to find a specific plan. Has anyone mapped out a plan that they used and would be willing to share?

    Thanks!!
